Met Richard Tyson back in summer of 1993 or so my family and I were in LA and he pulls up next to us in a sweet 91 Mustang GT convertible and my mom said: "Mr. Tyson, oh my gosh....you were so mean to Jerry in 3 O'clock High and what you did in Kindergarten Cop ……." he smiled and said....."I did it for the boy....hahaha!" The car is a 70 Plymouth 'Cuda. It doesn't have the middle body "hip" line styling of the Challenger and the inner door handle has a line which only cudas have. The steering wheel and auto trans knob suggest it's a 70-71 (surely not a 72-74), and i think if it was a 71 you could barely have seen the "only '71 feature" fish gills. Jerry went out and looked for trouble, not on purpose, but he was the one that put the knife in the locker. Buddy was just trying to teach him a lesson and honestly he felt bad for the kid when Jerry paid him $350 to call off the fight. “You’re such a wimp. You didn’t even try to fight. Its amazing how long this movie lasted as a 'timeless ' for the sort of movie that was ahead of its time. Of course what has been accomplished in the movie industry in the past 20 years has left this movie forgotten but i think the filming, characters, script, etc used to make this movie more realistic is something most people will not notice or they will overlook. Its a teen movie with little to no fluff or fantasy as you would see in most teen movies at the time or even now. Just a few more steps into making it almost a documentary or even a 'reality'-like movie, I never saw so much innovation in one teen movie/ or movie overall for at least another 15 years.

This is 1987. I grew taller than most of my classmates, added muscle with weight training, so no one ever picked on me ever since. I dressed like all the dudes you see in these scenes and put an end to the 1980s "part you hair in the middle trend" and was one of the first to move it to the side with long bangs, and then the rest of the dudes in our crew did the same. The hair metal bands all also moved to parting their hair on the side. The summer of 1987, the hairdresser said she should shave the lower back of my head hair to a crew cut and let the longer back hairs drape over it. My friends thought it looked weird, but soon saw that it was the trend. This hairstyle went back as far as the look for USA and European airmen back during WWII.

I jokingly told them that my Torino's 357 Cleveland engine could give them a run for their money. There was no condescension in their tone, just a dead serious accuracy about a 410cc engine and the utter deadpan foolishness of my suggestion.
