I used to visit an aunt in Oklahoma when I was a little girl and she would take me to Prairie Dog Park. I loved watching them play and interact with one another. They were adorable! Even though they are not meant to be pets, sometimes they do need to be rescued. These little munchkins have a wonderful loving and caring home. My heart goes out to you for the amazing effort you have put into these wonderful examples of the best of the and most lovely species. My heart has been broken since my little black Bombay pussycat Jinx passed away, she had been attacked and had very serious injuries and the vets were amazed as she just sat there perfectly still and let them do their work like an informed person knowing they were doing their job. I can never repay the excellence and love veterinary emergency services and wildlife staff give to animals. I was so very proud of my daughter when she became an Ambo for the RSPCA here in Brisbane Australia.

I actually watched a really informative documentary about Prairie Dogs and their behaviour in the wild. The actually have a very complex language structure to warn and inform their neighbours of predators, what type, how many. Things like that. They are really amazing little creatures. ❤
