Good question! Colored penciled are not better better they just give the artist more choice. I like Prismacolor.

How do i know exactly where the turn of the head is? I mean: where the plans change direction?

Great Question. Almost alway where there is a change in planes the is a change in value. The rest is just practice. hope this helps!
