Yep, renal acid load. Your body has to take calcium from your bones to neutralize the acid of your diet if you didn't eat enough alkaline foods. High acid foods means more calcium is needed to neutralize it.

I like the spin you use by taking a study about K-citrate supplementation and extrapolating that it proves a benefit of taking NINE extra fruit / vege servings. Way to gloss over the fact that this was a basic supplemented compound... 🙄

What will increase the risk of osteoporosis is sitting and lying around all day. The less weight barring our bones do the less dense they become. Bones are either becoming more dense or less dense, they never stay stable as they are. So yes diet will lay a part, calcium from the bones is used to extinguish inflammation, so the more there is the more that will be leached from the bones and the weaker they'll become, but its not the whole story.

"Studies find 30-46% higher bone fracture risk in vegan and vegetarian women compared to meat-eaters" The EPIC-Oxford study (2007) followed over 35,000 women in the UK and found that vegans had a 30% higher risk of fracture compared to meat-eaters. Vegetarians and fish-eaters had a similar fracture risk to meat-eaters.[1] A 2020 analysis of over 54,000 participants from the Adventist Health Study 2 in the US found that vegans, vegetarians, and pescatarians all had significantly higher risks of hip fractures compared to non-vegetarians. The risk was highest in vegans at 2.3 times that of non-vegetarians.[2] A 2022 prospective cohort study of postmenopausal women in the US found that participants with the lowest protein intake (common in vegan/vegetarian diets) had a 46% increased risk of hip fracture compared to those with the highest protein intake.[3]

Can you explain how these slim and fit long term non smoking Chinese vegetarians with low total cholesterol levels and taking no medications with a BMI of 22 ended up hurting their cardiovascular health? 2005 article "Vascular Dysfunction in Chinese Vegetarians: An Apparent Paradox?"

Do you notice how he uses the word " may" and "associated " alot. That's because these studies he splashes are probably observational. These studies use food frequency questionnaires and ask people what they ate for the last year. Like that's going to be accurate data!
