*Worked perfectly right out of the box **MyBest.Tools** a nice compact bench bandsaw, that will work with 1/4 to 1/2 inch blades! First use was a joy, better quality than I expected for the price ! ! !*

@myrinousios All three saws can cut ebony and rosewood. The 10" would be ok with those woods about up to 3-1/2" thick, the 14" up to 7" thick and the 18" saw up to 10" thick. Do keep in mind that those types of woods are very dulling for bandsaw blades. For 14" and larger saws, you can look for carbide-tipped bandsaw blades that will be longer lasting when cutting exotics.

@myrinousios Once you become a band saw owner, you will experiment with a range of blades to settle in on the brands and styles that suit your particular cutting needs best. For dust, you hook up a dust collector to help capture the dust as you cut. Because of how the saws cut wood and how dust collection works on a bandsaw, you can still only capture about 65 - 70% of the dust created.

I appreciate your video and the highlights. I purchased the 10" last weekend after watching this video. It will be joining my other smaller band saw. Question: You had a blue resaw fence during your demos. May I ask where I can take a look at the product to see if I may need it? Again, Thanks.

I am interested for a band saw that is for luthiery,to cut very thin ribs and tough woods like pallisander and ebony,do you think that this saw can do that? Also what about the dust?We are talking about 2-3 mm thickness of ribs for musical instruments. Thank you in advance. Regards

1:12? The 10" has nothing to do with clearance. The 10", 14", 18" etc....indicates the size of the wheel. The throat clearance will always be smaller than the wheel. I quite enjoy the Rikon 18" bandsaws. Cheers brother.

While the diameter of the wheel is 10, 14 or 18 inches, the throat width is close to that number but slightly less. Just look at the construction and that statement makes sense. The one side of the blade is exposed and the concealed side is just behind the riser post. Generally speaking that statement is correct.

A 2 x 4 is 1 1/2 x 3 1/2 oh my god. 3/4 ply is not actually 3/4. What's the world coming to. Maybe we should have a discussion about these inaccuracies and point them out. Very important stuff.
