I dont know why but i struggle with these so much, my teacher taught me to just find a in terms of b and c and plug that in to the others to make a normal simultaneous equation but your way seems to have a much higher success rate

@1st class maths I am confused because I tried Q1 and I got a= -9, b = 20 and c= 21 and I substituted them in and it works, however you got a= 5, b= 2 and c = 1. So is there more than one answer?!?! and in the exam will this be considered. Please let me know when you can. Thank you!

Your solution only works for the first two equations, but not the third one. 2 * -9 - 20 + 3 * 21 = 25 and not 11. For this course there will only be one solution.

Thank you sir I forget to check the third one 😅 but is there only one certain way of choosing elimination of a specific letter that will get you the right answer? Like do I have to follow your exact method number by number to get to the correct answers?

@@Dean-i3g You can eliminate any of the letters so there is more than one approach. Each one will end up with the correct answer though so you must have made an error along the way.

How do I know when to add or minus the equations because there are three symbols, is there a rule i need to know.

Look at the plus/minus signs on the terms you want to cancel out ; SSS (same signs subtract) or DSA (different signs add)
