Will you make a video explaining how to get the nth term of geometric sequence .
@1stClassMaths
@1stClassMaths 4 ай бұрын
You don't need to know this for GCSE, only how to generate more terms. It is covered more explicitly at A-level. That said it isn't too tricky. Each geometric sequence has a first term, which we give the letter "a". It also has a common ratio "r", which is what you multiply each term by to get the next term. You can find "r" by dividing a term by the previous term. E.g. if the sequence is 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, ... a = 3 as it is the first term r = 2 as 6/3 = 2, or 12/6 = 2, or 24/12 = 2 etc. The nth term is this a * r^(n-1) so in this example 3 * 2^(n-1) Hope that helps but I will cover A-Level content in the future.

hello i have a question. So you cannot create formula for the nth termin both geometric and quadratic sequence ?
@1stClassMaths
@1stClassMaths 3 ай бұрын
You can. I have a video on nth term of quadratics sequences here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXrWkmeGbdF8icU The nth term of a geometric sequence is beyond the GCSE course however.

On the exam questions answer sheet, I think you've answered for the 5th terms instead of the 4th on questions 10 & 11.

Thanks it was a typo. On the AQA one I put 5th but forgot to copy over. It is fixed now.
