Fun fact: In an interview they said that they had already taken a lot of retakes by the time the final MV was shot. And since this is a one shot, they had to start all over and eventually were getting tired. In the MV you see Kai's cap dropping, but he picks it up like it's a part of the choreo, since nobody wanted to reshoot the whole thing.

This MV was a one take. There's another version of this MV and there are close ups and it's a different setting. Here they aren't divided the way their sub groups were. Chen and Xiumin were in the first group in the MV, but they both were in EXO-M, D.O. and Suho were in EXO-K, but in this MV they were in the first group. They were just divided based on their lines. I'm not sure who's voice you said you liked, because at first Chen and Baekhyun were going back and forth with the lyrics. The one singing the high note after Chen, Suho and Baekhyun harmonized was Chen. I'm really hoping you reacted to both versions of the 'Mama' MV, not just the Korean one.

In this era, with this album "XOXO", EXO literally became the kings of S. Korea. They debuted as one ambitious project from SM to do a korean and chinese group and people had high expectations but believed they weren't going to make it. In their debut era they weren't THAT popular but with WOLF (their previous song) and this one, GROWL, they completely blew up. They were huuuge in 2013 (and so now lol), they were really everything to kpop, they were the top. Koreans says there wasn't another group like them and broke up so many records, and became the idols of your idols, became the "goal" in kpop. People nowadays can't imagine how big EXO was thanks to "Growl" (I was a fan even since predebut era) and those days were amazing as an EXO-L with the 12 of them. They deserve the absolute best forever

well, that's EXO! they can pull off different genre in just one song. FYI: Growl is dubbed as SoKor's 2nd national anthem. Growl is also a famous song in N. Korea. They use it as a confession song because of it's lyrics. They admit that they keep listening to it even if they don't know who sang it or don't know what EXO looks like.

anyway about Growl's choreo, many do song and dance cover but no one can do it like EXO. Adrian has said, "only EXO can dance it laid-back without looking like a dutchbag". Other idols dancing to it tends to do it extra and more on popping. And yeah, members dance the same choreo but doing it on their own style.

when i found exo, i told the people that were obviously different apart, like chanyeol, chen, and d.o for example. i would then start trying to tell the other members apart by watching more and more videos and taking quizzes on who is who. by doing this, it only took me 2 days to tell BTS apart, and it took me around 4 days to tell exo apart. the time it took me to tell whos who in each group i stan really varies. so i think u should do a guide on exo and learn more about our boys :)
