The structure of the referendum served commercialization, while not serving those who wished to grow their own. It was incomplete. Nevertheless I supported the move, as a change in the right direction. We see now that the status has changed in the USA. Convictions destroy lives.

um, they're not infants. Also, the NZ population is made up of people of various ages, so it's actually appropriate that Parliament represent *some* of that range. If it makes you feel better, politicians skew older than the demographics of the population in general. I mean, Chlöe is less than 1/2 my age, but she sure as hell is a lot more intelligent, energetic and capable than I would be as a politician.
