So you had a flub there where you were mentioning Pudding instead of Kuma when you were talking about getting his memories back... Wouldn't Pudding literally be the perfect character to help with that problem? She has the memory devil fruit. I think some of Kuma's memories are still in there, he isn't entirely gone, but now we also have Bonney who has seen Kuma's memories first hand and Pudding who can implant or remove memories. It is legitimately the best case scenario to get Kuma back.

I feel like King's last involvement in the story will help protect Wano from other pirates(Blackbeard pirates)because he'll probably see Luffy's bounty poster and want to help the person who carries Joyboy's will but he also wouldn't feel right directly helping the person who killed his captain so this could be a good middle ground for his motives going forward.

I recently caught up with One Piece, anime and manga. I started watching/reading about 2 years ago. Got caught up like 6 months ago. So it took me about 1.5 years. Watching an average of 2-3 episodes a day. Maybe more on weekends or when it was hype (when isn’t it hype). Reading was harder to gauge because I was a lot less intentional with what I was reading. I might have read 10-12 chapters in a single sitting and didn’t think about it. When I got to Wano, I felt that feeling of almost getting caught up. Literally started screaming “THE ONE PIECE IS REEEEAAAL!” One Piece is the greatest ongoing work of fiction. I’m convinced. I have Tekking to thank for sending me on this journey. I started watching the Chapter Reviews and was impressed by the lore and depth I heard about the series. And Tekking is always so passionate, it made me try One Piece again in earnest. Tekking, I love your channel and what you do. I know it’s not always as easy as it appears to make videos. You make it look easy and you’re ALWAYS a joy to watch. You’re an inspiration to me. It took me 9 months to catch up to the One Piece anime when it had around 820 episodes. Bear in mind I lived with my parents and there was a limit to how much I could watch in a day. It wasn't until 2 years later that I finally decided to read the unadapted chapters of the manga, although I often knew what happened through watching channels like yours. In fact I think I started watching your channel in summer 2017, when I was watching Enies Lobby for the first time 😂

What we also should think about is, where is Kings parents. He was a kid when they were doing tests on him. And Imu has been running things for 800 years, yet we see King as a kid only 20-40 years ago. So lunarians were alive all the way up to that point. It took me a little over a year, although that wasn’t consistent reading over that year. I remember I started just a few months before chapter 1000 came out, and when I realized that about a month in, I started rushing to get to it before it was released, but that just wouldn’t have been possible for the pace I was reading at. I was still in high school at the time and it was still during the off lockdown zoom school environment, so whenever I was in a lecture or I could get away with not paying my full attention to class I was reading one piece. I knew the story was for me immediately tho, on my first day of reading I made it all the way to Baratie and that was the first arc to make me cry.

But I didn't really keep up with it perfectly, and eventuallly stopped all together. The second time took about 20 month, or less, I'm just estimating based on memory. Started reading One Piece in Shonen Jump during the Alabasta Arc, borrowing them from one of my best friends. Then SJ did a timeskip all the way to Impel Down, so I only knew most of the arcs in-between from the summary. Started watching One Piece online in college (2010), but then for some reason stopped and didn't pick it back up till grad school (2017). I think i mentioned this before in a previous video, but i think it would make perfect sense for both Pudding and King to become allies of luffy. this becasue if you include all of the strawhats and the grand fleet, their is a reprsenitive of almost every race. I started One Piece in the 4th grade ~2008-2009. I would go at least once a month to Barnes and Nobles to buy 5 volumes of One Piece and devour them in a weekend. With One Piece I started with the anime around Whole Cake Island after the Sanji fight. Took me about 2 weeks to catch up to the latest episode which I think was around the 830s-840s (didn't skip a single episode).

The Awakened Mythical zoan Nika could maybe only be awakened by those races so that’s why they are specifically targeting them, their races might hold the key to awaken mythical zoan powers, at this point of the story don’t be surprised if luffy has a lunerian blood

I think i started One piece around 2020 Q2-Q3 since that's when my house got wifi connection which made it easier to watch 20-30 eps and i feel i caught up to the manga&anime in about 1 year or year and half i think. I could have done it faster but I was watching a lot more shows while getting up to date with one piece

I started the one piece anime in 2020 and caught up in the anime the week that kaido defeated luffy in the manga (1043) and then his hair got all strange and he was joyboy and everyone was freaking out online about what was gonna happen, so I rushed through the manga from where the anime was to chapter 1043 and the very first chapter I read on release was 1044 and the reveal of gear 5. I will never forget that experience.

It took me 2 and a half years to catch up to One Piece. I didn't read the manga until I caught up to the anime. The 2 years were two big breaks I took, when I was actively watching One Piece it took me half a year.

Kingdom was the most addictive manga I've read so far. Caught up to chapter 650 in a little more than a week a couple of years ago.

Started watching OP on Toonami (also think this is where i watched Zatch Bell and Prince of Tennis), took a massive break until my feeble teen brain discovered online anime piracy, binged everything on WatchOP (hilarious fan subs) then around Fishman Island-Punk Hazard in the manga i started reading and have been weekly w the manga since the end of Punk Hazard. Now mind you ive since done re-reads of the series, but all said and done it took me the better part of 6 years to get “current” with OP. Thanks for the trip down memory lane Tekking lol, nothing makes you feel the passage of time like realizing how much of your life youve spent obsessing over fictional Japanese comic pirates.
