You are so adorable! I'm in the USA, and I can't tell you how much I love your English accent along with your cute way of expressing yourself! I also appreciate yor knowledge of the Latin names of plants and flowers. It elevates them instead of sounding so common. Love your arrangements that feel like little gardens! None of them feel tight and constrained. What a relief from arrangements that think they all have to look alike in shops. I so appreciate the variety! I moved to an acre in Washington, and have started growing my own beautiful flowers. What a thrill to be able to arrange and share these beauties! Thank you for the enjoyment I get out of watching your videos!

Several years ago, I had the delight of attending a demonstration by Sen'ai Ikenobo (the 45th Headmaster of Ikebana) during a rare appearance in NYC. I was only about one of six gringos in the audience and it was like attending church, watching this master create gorgeously artful floral works. I was so blessed to have witnessed the occasion! So glad to hear you speak of this style, Georgie!

I work at a nursery. We find a lot of the newer varieties, especially doubles, tend to vary a lot when the flower. I only buy one when I have seen a flower on that particular plant. Added bonus...you don't have to wait, they bring you joy now! That can be worth a little more money.

Thanks so much for the in depth tutorial on hellebore preparation for arrangements. Visitors to my garden in the foothills of Northern California are amazed that hellebores thrive in shady woodland areas here despite our 100 degree summer temps and months of drought. They get regular supplemental water from drip irrigation and self sow prolifically. This is good because plants as large as the ones you couldn't resist are twice the price here. So glad to know I'm not the only one who acts impulsively when it comes to flower purchases. Ecstatic joy from your beautiful arrangements is understandingly contagious!

I am so glad I found your channel. I have been enjoying your videos for the past few days and I feel so inspired by you. I am such a flower lover I have huge gardens and I am also someone that is an impulse buyer. When I see something that I have to have I just go and get it. It makes me happy. I have an area at my house that we call hella bore Hill. It started with five plants about 15 years ago and is now wall to wall plants because they are as you say very sexy and make tons of seedlings. I have been floating my blooms at Easter for many years and it always gets lots of attention. Our names are very similar and I get a kick out of that.

Happens to me all the time! It’s because we really love and appreciate beautiful flowers. I go to the garden center or nursery and spot something special or unique. Sometimes I just go ahead and grab it and bring it home. Other times I go home and mull over my landscape to figure out where to add the new addition and then go back and purchase. Sometimes you need “flower therapy”. It’s way better than meds or going to the Dr. I’m right now trying to justify buying the Gen. Sonewall Jackson deciduous Azalea from the confederate series. It’s at my local nursery and they only have 5. I believe when they bloom everyone will want one! Thanks for showing us how to display Hellebores in various ways. All beautiful

Yours look stunning and tall never knew they grew that tall mine is more foliage and short stems of flowers .

Thank you for all your tips for arranging hellebores . I live in South West France, and when I used to visit my Mum in Stamford UK, I always returned home with lots of hellebore seedlings from her garden (we were allowed to do that pre brexit), and I now have hellebores everywhere in my garden, some are in very sunny places and they still thrive. It's so exciting to look round my garden in early spring to see all the new colours that have mutated, they are indeed very promiscuous!

I have never tried growing hellebores', but plan to after this video. Just gorgeous, Georgie! When anticipating guests and in want of a bouquet or two, I head to my neighborhood small business nursery and find something lovely blooming in a pot. I cut off the flowering bits for my vases of garden greenery and then plant the rest in my back garden beds. I think of this solution as a win/win, and not at all a splurge. 🌷

Last year I ve bought Hellebores after flower , planted tgem under trees, they survived the heath of last Summer also storms surprisingly well. They are all in flower now. Can t get enough from them. I don t clip them. They are too precious to me. But if sometimes a flower branch breaks off ...off course I put them in a little vase. But in the hall ...for a long lasting vase life.

I ordered 12 robust Hellebore plugs from them last year and just ordered more to be delivered next week. However it is snowing here again in southern Wisconsin and they are saying 5 to 8 inches. So, I will pot them up until I can dig in the garden. Thanks for all the Hellebore tips and I look forward to my blooms!

Those small pin frogs seem to have very short pins especially compared to your large rusty one. I would buy one larger deeper pin frog instead of a bunch of small ones. You can also get clear plastic pin frogs (called kenzans in Ikebana) with 3 suction cups on the back.

I quite like these dinky ones - they sort of disappear in glass vessels and do enough of a job - I really need to indulge all my flower frog fancies - in the deep mid winter I might trawl eBay for a LOT. XXX
