Made three years loc'd October 24th!! I went through several changes from the second year to the third. First, I decided to combine all of my locs. Over the last couple of years, I have been combining several here and there...and finally just decided to do them all. I did not anticipate how narrow my locs would get after maturing (this is one thing you can definitely consider when deciding on the size). Turns out I actually loved the size they were while they were budding and swelling, but once they started to compact they were skinnier than I liked. I see why so many start over because of size, but I really did not want to start all the way over, lol. So now my locs have multiple ends. I may trim along the way, or get it cut into a cute loc bob in a few years =). Next, speaking of starting over, I decided to comb out my back row, due to extreme lint buildup (starts at 3:19). Those in the back were already super thin and pretty much looked white in some areas due to lint...so it was a pretty easy decision to start over and make those a larger size. Nonetheless, I still love it here, and it is still the best hair decision. Love my low maintenance loc life!
