Have her learn French, German, or Swedish. Belgium, Monaco, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Liechtenstein still have totals that are at least Princely. Dutch would also work for Belgium and the Netherlands. If she's willing to settle for Grand Duchess, then Luxembourg is in play. 😘

I'm really wondering how they make the associations. Probably because they haven't experienced many things, they choose the closest feeling they can relate to. Like, the first drink had nothing spicy in it, but seltzer is a bit fizzy and bitter, so maybe that combination is close to spiciness as far as she's concerned...

I'd definitely love to see a Cherry Phosphate and a 'Red Hot' my Granny used to take us to a local pharmacy and they had a soda jerk in the front parlor. They're long gone and I'm not sure if anyone is left who would know the recipes, but you've inspired me to reach out.
@coalcreekdefense8106
@coalcreekdefense8106 Жыл бұрын
So it turns out you can still get acid phosphate online to make phosphates. The recipe is as simple as soda water, flavored simple syrup, and a couple dashes of acid phosphate. You could probably even use snow cone syrup if you don't want to whip up simple syrups at home. Other Greg, who did the documentary on egg creams, he runs a soda fountain and candy store down in Florida, and he has LOTS of KZbin videos, some of them about old-time sodas. His channel is for sure worth checking out. I would love to bring back this tradition of making sodas and other treats on-demand.

I love lofty pursuits videos. Theres just something about candy being made with a little history lesson that makes for excellent videos. That video made me drag my aunt and two cousins to that soda shop just to have an egg cream on my first trip to nyc. It was something they had no idea about and was a great time. It was the second most NY thing we did. First being never buying a subway ticket.
