Firstly, congratulations to you and your wife on the birth of your daughter. Welcome back to one of, if not the best reporter of Newcastle. Pleased to see you back. As for the Stadium, I am all for a new one of around 80,000. As I am in my 80's I will be seeing yet another transformation, I only hope I live long enough to see the inside of a new one.

Congratulations to you and the family Keith, it’s great to have you back! In terms of the stadium I like this idea of knocking St James’ down and rebuilding on that land slightly closer the Barrack road to solve the east stand problem I just struggle to think of where we could play in the mean time. Could we do a Real Madrid and build some small temporary stands around a pitch at the training ground or do we need to use another teams ground which would be difficult.

possibly a better understanding of the way forward with/without psr will impact of their decision. I have been going to SJP for 55 years, 10 years as a season ticket holder traveling from Arbroath. Sadly rely on ballot these days, so would love to get to more games.

Arena site is the best for new stadium also lots of scope for redevelopment along the river.Still accessible by foot from the train station.80,000 is perfect remembering the stadium isn't just for football its to generate extra revenue.Keep St James Park for a Music venue and put a roof on it.

An extra 8,000 seats at St. James' won't help us with PSR. We need a new stadium in order to take advantage of bigger crowds & various other events staged there. It's unlikely to be built on Leazes Park or the Town Moor, & the Utilita Arena area is too small. So the biggest problem is where a new stadium could be built. If fans really want the toon to be #1 then they may have to accept that the new stadium has to be built in a less than ideal place.

Firstly congratulations to you and your wife, kids are great until they become teenagers then they morph into a whole new kind of uncontrollable being ! Secondly I agree a new stadium is needed but has to be within walking distance of the city centre to keep that vibe going!
@thekraken77222 ай бұрын
You could get maybe 8,000 to 12,000 more fans with an expansion to St James Park, but years from now we will be one of the lowest capacity stadiums in the UK and we won't be able to do anymore with lesser clubs overtaking our capacity. A new stadium of say 80,000 would secure a new generation, generate revenue, and compete with the big boys. Being too nostalgic might do more harm than good......but that's only my opinion.

I have 5 kids Keith. 4 of which have been born in in Canada where I now live. I got exactly one day paternity for each one of them, that's not even a week FFS, it's not fair, you were gone longer than Callum Wilson !

It's not viable for us to stay at sjp which is sad we can't develop sjp to the level we need to progress to the next level adding 10,000 seat's is not enough as mutch as I love sjp we have to build atleast an 75,000 to 80,000 stadium just to compete with the rest and to be where we need to be moving forward
@BATC982 ай бұрын
Liverpool is 61k spurs 62k and arsenal 60k these are big clubs and us having a stadium of 75k is pie in the sky as like Man Utd you invite loads of tourists and the atmosphere takes a massive hit for the sake of a financial gain that in reality it’s going to touch the sides. A stadium of just over 60k would be enough for us to keep the atmosphere and allow more fans (old fans who decided to vote with their feet) to get their season tickets back. If Liverpool who are a huge club and could age easily built a new stadium understand the importance of Anfield then we need to give our heads a shake and realise what we have. A ground that couldn’t be in a better location in the heart of city not out on the coast or some industrial estate in cramlington that no one can get to. All these social media muppets who have been supporting the club for 5 minutes suddenly demanding we build 80k seater stadiums so we can host the NFL once a year seem to forget that things can change like in the 80s and 90s when the stadium wasn’t packed out and when Keegan came back the glory hunters who came trotting along and forced out the hard core like has happened somewhat this time. Don’t get me wrong there was plenty of times under Ashley my ticket was almost cancelled but I see so many people now rocking up at the match who don’t sing don’t shout and just sit there with their phones out. I don’t want another 15k of those type of fans and middle class parents who think it’s the new cool thing to do and bring little tarquin along instead of allowing the pure radgie kids in from the scotchy who live and breath football.
