@@Nagstersept109868it was Pat Riley’s fault for offering an insultingly bad lowball offer imo. Heat wanted Dame for Herro and Jovic. The other offer was Herro and 2 picks. As a Heat fan I’m ready for all of this to end. As who to blame honestly I blame both sides honestly. For the front office we could’ve traded for KD, Dame, or Mitchell when they all were available and they fumbled. And hell personally I wanted other players who could play beside Bam like Bobby Portis when he was available or Lauri Markkanen but no trades were done. But also I do blame Jimmy, Bam is struggling this season but before this season Bam legit outplayed Jimmy most seasons before the playoffs because of how unserious Jimmy takes the regular season. I love an underdog story but being around the 7th to 10th seed every season is annoying.
@BLee09
@BLee09 19 күн бұрын
I fell for the underdog narrative one time. Then, I immediately started noticing how little Jimmy tries during the regular season. As a fan in general, it kind of became annoying to watch. I'd honestly rather a player not play then to see them out on the floor, giving low effort. The heat was a legit top franchise in the east. Jimmy gets a lot of credit for carrying, but man, I saw those role players hit tough shot after tough shot and they were rarely acknowledged. Jimmy honestly has been a problem to almost every franchise he's been on, and it's not being talked about, really.
@dannyllerenatv8635
@dannyllerenatv8635 15 күн бұрын
This is it right here. The horrendously ugly basketball they wind up playing through the season, such as blowing massive fourth quarter leads almost EVERY SINGLE GAME THEY PLAY, and flat out handing over games on a silver platter is annoying. The underdog thing was cute the first time around, but this is not sustainable. That just puts an unnecessary burden on the team and more wear and tear. If you can’t win a title then AT LEAST be entertaining to watch and not fumble away games that were already won! Losing so many games where you have a massive fourth quarter lead also demoralizes the team and kills their confidence. It’s also imho a huge reason why this team struggles so much in crunch time
@dannyllerenatv8635
@dannyllerenatv8635 15 күн бұрын
Also, I understand the playoffs are far more important than the regular season. However, the post season is only roughly around 2 months in span while the regular season is longer than half a calendar year. It’s about ENTERTAINMENT. People didn’t spend ridiculous amounts of money to sit and watch you hand over games on a silver platter like if we are some damn charity!!!

As a heat fan, and separately a Jimmy fan since his bulls days I have been complaining about the Heat not just letting Jimmy go and everyone else too and start rebuilding since the bubble. The sad truth is that in the last 4 years the heat did not have the assets to trade for a player of the caliber needed while retaining the core pieces on the roster. We have been doomed for a while and overachieving only made it worse. And honestly the organization did Jimmy, and tl a certain extent Bam, a disservice.

Jimmy proved he could do his job in his first season on the team by bringing a mediocre team to the Finals where he went toe to toe with LeBron James. Pat still hasn’t done shit for him. The team was going absolutely nowhere until Wade was nice enough to gift a winning superstar in his lap who was in his 30s and then he decided to just pick his nose while pissing away the next five years. The corpses of Kyle Lowry, PJ Tucker, and Kevin Loves being your only main moves to try and support Jimmy as he aged into his mid 30s while also bleeding talent (go look up all the important roleplayers and depth pieces from the 2023 run- they all left for nothing) is absolutely egregious GMing.

@Born-AgainApe yes and he also lowballed Wade all throughout his career after what he did to Miami... Heck, Hassan Whiteside, Jermaine O'neal, Chris Bosh, and Goran Dragic got more money than Wade when he was there... Never was the highest paid player in all his season in Miami and he was their franchise player... He got rid of Shaq as well and even Shaq didn't like how Pat Riley did him dirty... LeBron also left Miami because of Pat Riley to be honest... The one that brought Miami a championship... He also signed Duncan Robinson for a huge contract and look how that's working out... He drafted Justice Winslow and where is he now?? He drafted Michael Beasley no. 2 overall pick and look how his career turned out... And now he is lowballing Jimmy Butler like he did Wade after what he did to the Heat franchise after Wade retired... He has so many messed up signings in Miami... That's why I think he was kind of overrated as a Miami GM...

This exemplifies all the problems the nba is having. Players should play, once they start getting too good for the britches is when fans lose interest and ratings go down. Fans need a dirk kobe Steph type player to root for on their team. ROSTER CONTINUITY. Without it, there is no loyalty and therefore no fan. Yes people are fans of organizations, but the collective team of PLAYERS make that specific team WORTH ROOTING FOR if they are good. If they are bad, i guarantee the average viewership drops that year they are bad. It’s a shame, player movement is killing the nba.
@BLee09
@BLee09 19 күн бұрын
That's the GM's and owner's fault. When you draft a star player you have a minimum of 3-4 years and a maximum of 7-8 to put competent pieces around them to compete. All three of those players you mentioned had that. Look at Minnesota. They make the WCF for the first time in idk how long. Then they trade their second best player because they didn't wanna pay both. Now KAT is out there in NY putting up better numbers than ANT. Most of these owners wanna save money first and win second. Now when ANT starts getting disgruntled because this current team can no longer compete. The blame should not go to ANT when he inevitably decides he no longer wants to put up with this franchise's incompetence.

Man maybe it's me but I don't see how Jimmy gets a pass for being incredibly toxic to almost every team he's been on.

I doubt Butler will be traded. Pat Reilly would rather have jimmy sit all season because he wants to punish butler and see his value go down so jimmy doesnt get a good contract.

Bound to happen pat didn't really give him the help I'm not just putting all this on butler, i think he fits best in Memphis his playoff experience can help vs those contenders up top they kind of need an adult who can play they have the shooting, they have their star in ja, the defense is elite he just slides right in Marcus smart doesn't play and they needed more size at that position and i love memphis development system but how the west looks they can really compete against anyone they need a jimmy imo i think the supporting cast is going to be as good as it gets this move is for a deep playoff run which is what Memphis is aiming for atp

Heat have been in purgatory for a couple years now. Shoulda already traded Jimmy by now and start building something else because they fell way behind. Boston, NY, Cleveland, even Orlando have become WAY better while they haven’t done anything. Wasting good Bam years too.

Jimmy is going to PHX, warriors going after him does nothing. Most teams are waiting for 2026 FA to get a big name. I think Jimmy gets to PHX with the Kings involved somehow

Jimmy Butler is more to blame and what's best for the Heat is to trade him to the Warriors.
