Favorite redfish lure: I have a really old, like 1990's old, super spook in bone. I painted red gills on it and it's my go to plug for reds. And my girlfriend has the same spinning set up you do but the falcon is topped with a 2500 sahara.

My favorite EVERYTHING lure is chartreuse maribou 1/4 oz . Redfish get all sorts of pissed at that color and action. Especially around bridge pylons.

Nice Red bro!! My brother and I fish for reds off of Charleston S.C. back in the creeks every summer. So many giants out there. We usually use mud minnows, cut bait (typically mullet) or blue crab as bait on a circle hook but I'd love to try catching them on a lure. They fight like hell! Cool video.

Which Ascend are you on? I just got a FS12T, very stable and easy to stand and fish in but I have yet to try having both legs over one side, when the water warms up a bit I will try and see just how stable my Ascend is, but I am not a fan of cold water lol

Nice fishing! Get or build yourself some rod holders, sto away or cooler behind you, and an anchor trolley system. Your going to hook yourself the way your handling the fish while dodging your mess and or dump your kayak and loose all your gear!

Great video I love using the little Sahara on trout and reds. More fun to catch them and peel drag. AND the cost is great so if they fail I could buy 10 of them compared to some of the reels people are buying. You got on a great flat that day and catching them on topwater not in lowlight time was impressive

not to be critical, but try holding your rod tip at an angle to the fish and low. he is stronger if u let him pull straight away. angles slow him, turns his head, off balance so to speak.
