It’s been 2 years since I was enlightened by this song for the first time. It has become my religion and threshing wheat with a flail is now my only passion. Thank you sir.

Threshing the wheat from the shaft is what the Lord will instruct His angels to do in the last day. The wheat are those who beleive and truly love and obey Jesus. The shaft is the world (who does its own thing). Just as the chaft is thrown away, they will be thrown into the fire. Abiding in Jesus as wheat is worth living for now and forever ❤️🔥🙏🏾

“ The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the age.The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.”(Matthew 13:39-43).

Great upload...my neighbours used to thrash with flails (1950s Irish midlands) ...they also used a winnowing machine to clean the corn. They used to say corn thrashed with a flail was better for thatching houses as the stalk was not as broken as was the case with a thrashing machine.....

Okay I think ive cracked the deeper meaning to this song. Something happened to this man on his farm that impacted his life so greatly that he continues to relive it everyday with vivid detail. He walks to his farm to grow wheat, the sky is blue, the sun is yellow, but something is missing. Maybe he is remembering a lost loved one? Or can it be a lost sense of purpose? Whatever it may be, the lament deepens which each waking day on the farm. The duck is white. The pond is grey. Life is so simple until its not. Man, im fucking high.

wouldn't that crush the grain though? I'm not totally sure on the mechanics
@TheSpygirl72 жыл бұрын
The flail is bashing the dried wheat kernels out of the dried wheat heads. The kernels are hard. Like dried pasta hard, but not crunchy or brittle. Letting the wheat fall through the air from the galvanized grain scoop thingy helps the chaff (the . . . covering, hull, husk) to blow away. The chaff is light like paper. The red machine is a separator which shakes the kernels to get rid of contaminants like cockleburrs, which fall through the sieve. I think it might let even more chaff be separated from the wheat kernels too.

So I grew up as a bread farmer in the Soviet Union, you can do all your methods by hand off grid with a homestead styled setup . 1000 acres would feed your entire community with bread , downscale if you have to. Use a scythe to cut longer rows faster , large Sumer grade wheat is best for dry American weather . A thresher stick to beat the bushel make sure all your husks are hulled when checking. Then build a windmill to run a ground wheel and just mill your flower that way . Then you can bolt the flour with a sifter get that gold standard white flour . God Bless the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
