@squeakycooler7 ай бұрын
Depends on the water you're fishing. You can cast it and just simply slow retrieve it, you can troll em behind a boat, vertical jig it, cast and jerk it while reeling. And yeah you need watch around the rocks, it will snag if you let go to the bottom with structure

What size is that spoon 1/2 3/4 🤔
@dan-o97462 жыл бұрын
I will sometimes change the treble to a regular J hook. Especially if I am releasing the fish. They seem to stay on the hook better and it doesn't mess them up so much. If a treble is needed, try a Triple Grip treble. Won't lose fish

What fun! Enjoyed the action. Over the past 50yrs, Kastmasters have been among my most consistently productive spoons, actually lures in general, fishing for trout above 10,000ft down to fishing the surf. Easy to fish as it gets too. Nice to see someone still using them. Not a sexy lure they catch so who cares, right.

I see these so many people fishing with the lightest line possible and seriously don’t understand why, especially if you’re off jettys or reef, why make a possibility for a break off, you could be fishing for smaller fish and hook a monster in saltwater it’s better to be prepared for everything and anything. I don’t go under 30lbs for reel or leader
