It's the same singer for both the harsher and cleaner parts. He's had to cut down the harsher vocals over the years in order to preserve his voice. He has a Tom Waits vibe in a very good way nowadays

For Miles is myfavorite song from them and Vheissu is my favorite album. The lyrics are ambiguous and haunting, deep meaning for me. Also, the song transitions creates an atmosphere that's hard to describe. Above sublime. I recommend Words in the Water.
