Good lord this comment section is clearly full of people who came directly from Thrice's video. Please actually take the time to listen to other Dayseeker songs before you say they didn't add their own style/flair to it. A cover is not supposed to be exactly the same. They covered the song in the style of music that they themselves create. They have created countless songs full of emotion and power, they are truly an amazing band. But it's so easy to tell that the people who are criticizing have not ever listened to Dayseeker before.

Idk. I've been a Thrice fan for 10+ years, and I think this is phenomenal. but then again, music is art, and art is subjective. Thrice fans are few, and we love our favorite band. sometimes, other bands just don't cut it. This one did though.

yep, they certainly added their own sound to it. not many covers can match the original. amy winehouse did a cover of valerie and made it her own. metallica covered thin lizzy and made it their own. dayseekers have done a fine job here too love thrice!

i've loved thrice for ~15 years and just discovered dayseeker a couple weeks ago. was SO excited to see that this existed, and it lived up to my expectations. this is an incredible cover! the screams at the end OMG. (i didn't realize til now that his screams are actually pretty similar to dustin's - suuuper dirty power fry - helps explain why i fucking love both so much!) can't wait to see dayseeker in anaheim in august!!!!

4321carlos1234 non taking man! dude the original is amazing no doubt about it, I actually prefer the acoustic version they did live at a cd release. I was looking up some of Thrice's music, I tend to lean more toward their acoustic stuff. I respect that they inspire you dude that's what music is about. Unfortunately for me I don't have the same connection with Thrice as I do Dayseeker. The deepness of lyrics, hard hitting melody, and powerful vocals get me every time. I honestly think Dayseeker has it all. 👌🏼

as a fan of both, i heard thrice's first and obv i love both but the original is just different. rorys voice and dustins voice are practically incomparable. i think the part that really shows this off is the start of the second verse. the pain and rasp in dustins voice there is just unmatchable imo
