I'm sorry we let the clunts win... One day we stood at the top of the world and the precipice of true equality.... Then the next day had a knife in our backs. A heartbeat later you'd be banned for naming who did this to you, speaking basic...universal truths... My generation wandered blindly into hope and never saw the knife in our backs because of the light in our eyes. We've damned the youth to a hell beyond our imagination for it and they should never forgive us. Life was fucking perfect and could have gotten better yet we surrendered to make it hell for them....

LYRICS HERE! I sit here clutching useless lists, keys for doors that don't exist I crack my teeth on pearls I tear into the history Show me what it means to me in this world Yeah, in this world 'Cause I am due for a miracle I'm waiting for a sign I'll stare straight into the sun And I won't close my eyes Till I understand or go blind I see the parts but not the whole I study saints and scholars both No perfect plan unfurls Do I trust my heart or just my mind Why is truth so hard to find in this world Yeah in this world 'Cause I am due for a miracle I'm waiting for a sign I'll stare straight into the sun And I won't close my eyes Till I understand or go blind (till I understand or go blind) I know that there's a point I've missed A shrine or stone I haven't kissed A scar that never graced my wrist A mirror that hasn't met my fist But I can't help feeling like I'm Due for a miracle I'm waiting for a sign (waiting for a sign) I'll stare straight into the sun And I won't close my eyes (and I won't close my eyes) Due for a miracle I'm waiting for a sign I'll stare straight into the sun And I won't close my eyes

Too bad the songs were always a looped minute or so. The game is one of the most overrated of all time, but man were the atmosphere and characters awesome, and the music only added to it. Blended together they all had a distinctly rebellious tone like most 2000's stuff did, but there was a certain ambiance that made the rough edges of the "rebelliousness" fall away and left a distinct tone that defines that era--a tech-focused world that was still unfocused enough to not have a uniform blandness like nowadays.

I remember the first time when i heard this song in a mix of batman the brave and the bolt, i was like 10 or something, and even though i did'nt understood anything of the song (im from a hispanic speaker country) it was love at first sight or hearing in this case. I used to play it always, get hyped and sing it, even though what i sang definetly wasnt english or any other language. But as i was growing and becoming a teenager i started to care more about the opinon of others and as it wasnt a common thing to listen to music that wasnt in spanish or wasnt reggaeton, rap or dembow, i stopped listenning to this song which made me forget completey this song. Nowadays 7 years after i remembered the lyrics and finally found it, and i felt that happiness and joy that as a kid i used to feel and made me realice that if you love to do something do it, no matter if the peopele tell you that it is lame or that is not cool there is only one life to live, live it and enjoy those little things that provides you that happinness that only as a child we used to feel.

The lyrics have very Platonic motifs to them in my mind. This is why I've always loved Thrice, because they promote quite a philosophical feeling in many of their songs.

shows how valuable a kick ass bassline is. The verse guitars are minimal but the bass drives it so nicely.

here it is 2020 and only 2 weeks ago while on one of my many shroom trips. this song plays and through the digital view I could read THRICE. The song was hurricane! I never in my life even heard of this group. Let alone the video! I was at the peak when it played. I was laying on the trampoline and feeling out of body and conversating with my wife who was asleep in our room. I could see our love full of happiness and then the struggle to hold on to the happiness. I was holding her hand as she slipped away into the darkness, as she was the sand in ny fist. I'm happy that it wasn't until 2 weeks ago that I heard this song. Really has helped me realize the depth of our relationship and the struggles we face and we are still so much in love......
