Love the cross Rachel! Perfect color. Love the details on it. OMG I would have spray painted it too lol 😂 I had the same transfers from Redesign and used them on a white ceramic birdhouse and it came out awesome! Fantastic metal chest. Love the dry brushing on it.

Rachel: that color that you used on the cross is quite nice. Remember blue is the favorite color of the majority of people in the world. This has been true for many, many years. The other thing that has been on my mind while watching your videos, is this. I would enjoy you showing and explaining your paint products, brushes, and transfers to us. I think that would be most interesting for us who really don’t know much about the products and what they can do. Just a thought. Carol from California

Hi Carol! Sorry my response is so long in coming - life sometimes just gets too darn hectic, lol. I'm glad you liked the cross color - I love Skeleton Key and sometimes I forget I have it in my arsenal, haha. And I realize that the majority like blue . . . I just prefer earth tones and neutrals and tend to lean more towards them - I am trying to work in a few more blues, though!! :) As far as more explanation on the products themselves - it's so hard to know how much information is too much and how much is too little . . . I try to explain as I'm working to the best of my abilities, but if you have any specific questions about a product, I am happy to try and either answer you directly or explain it in a future video if I can! :)

Beautiful! I have a question….if you plant right in the painted planters, will watering them discolor or damage the pain on the outside? I’ve done pots but sprayed the inside with flex seal to make it waterproof. Just wondering if it’s necessary?

Yes, you would need to seal them on the inside if you were going to use them for live plants. I am going to be adding faux floral arrangements to these and since they are for decor purposes only I didn't need to worry about sealing them on the inside. :)

*Hello, I am back, Rachel❣️💕 Before I forget, I like your outfit in the outtro. You look so nice in that soft pink shade 💗 and your necklace with the pink tassle 💖 is the perfect coordinating accent. 😊💕💝* *The bunny turned out so well; the dark wax was the perfect finishing touch...I would have made the eyes darker so they didn't look vacant or disappear from the bunny's face. 😊 Just my humble opinion. I have also been known to take a tiny artist's brush and "scruff it up" around the eyes like a bit of a dry brushing technique with a dark wax to give a hint of faintly-showing fur eyelashes. Can't help myself...I'm a little "extra", LOL‼️🤣🤣🤣🐰🐇* *The Cross was absolutely GORGEOUS - I can't say I have really ever been a fan of Skeleton Key, but that's because I don't like the color gray. Having said that, the Cross really did take on a soft blue hue - and the white and dark wax - with a hint of gold wax for sparkle - took it to SPECTACULAR‼️🙏☝️✝️🕊 So perfect for Easter.* *I don't know what you could possibly add to the inside of the sweet little bird you painted Farm Fresh, Rachel❣️ It's MAGICAL the way it is, and it can come live at my house anytime, LOL. 😉* *Next you upcycled those DARLING Clay Pots with Faded Burlap and those LUSCIOUS LILAC 💜🍃 stencils...and PURPLE is my FAVORITE COLOR...* *the dark wax made the vessels almost look like crockery, which is another L🤎VE of mine❣️😘💋🥰 THEY ARE PERFECT FOR MY GARDEN-THEMED MASTER BEDROOM, and my hands-down ●FAVORITE MAKEOVER● today❣️💜🎉* *Last - but certainly NOT least - is the especially striking beauty of the little metal box. Farm Fresh with white dry-brushed paint and white wax highlights bringing out those marvelously swirly details took my breath away for 2nd place❣️😁 PLEASE don't be mad at me for yelling, "THANK YOU‼️" when you said you weren't distressing it, LOL. 🤪😁🤣🤣🤣 It's SO BEAUTIFUL and what could be better in a Spring vignette⁉️🍃💙🤍🌿🐇🕊*

I actually find myself going through my closet nowadays trying to pick things to wear for my videos that I haven't worn in front of the camera a million times already, haha!! I'm glad you like the bunny - I don't normally mess with the eyes just because I always end up just making them creepy, lol!! Those lilac transfers really are pretty - I love lilacs and have a huge old bush in my yard that blooms in the spring and smells delicious. :) And it is always fun to try something a little different as with the metal chest - I know not everyone loves distressing, so I really do try to find things once in a while that I can finish without it! :) Anyway - thank you so much!! :)

@@theeclecticcottagespokane *I understand about the fine line with bunny eyes and not making them look creepy‼️🤣 I find if I make them a lighter brown, give them tiny scruffy eyelashes and paint a white dot in each eye's iris for a highlight, they don't look creepy.😊 Ooooh...your lilac bush sounds beautiful...and fragrant, too❣️💜😁 Those lilac transfers are so beautiful, and I can just imagine how gorgeous the hydrangeas in the same transfer set look if the lilacs are that artistically, realistically done. Oh Rachel, love your rabbit! Love the dark wax over the clear. On the candlesticks, "the best laid plans". They turned out gorgeous though. Wow, the cross is stunning with it's hints of gold, love the color. To my eyes it has a greenish hue to it. It is probably the darn computer. #4, Yippee, that is in order. hehe Hey, no judgement here, count however you wish, we will all flow with it. Really like the bird and clay pots and can't wait to see what you do with them next week. Would the wax on them melt in our summer temps? That chest is really fantastic with the 2 paints and white wax. Good call on not distressing that baby. So adorable. Did you get hit hard with the snow this week? We got about an inch, nothing major but more than I thought we would get. At this point, no snow and 60s sounds really good to me. Have a great weekend and will see you on Tuesday my friend.

And in our hot climate it's best to not put waxed pieces out in the weather . . . I have been advised in the past that is isn't such a great idea. As for the snow, we did get some and I guess we are in for some more tonight possibly . . . we'll see . . . I'm so over the winter, though!! :)

*Just curious, Rachel.....* *you usually paint the bottoms of your items for a nice finished and professional look, but you didn't paint the bottoms of your wooden candlesticks in your 2nd project, so I was wondering why? Did you run out of time on the video, so you're planning to go back to spray shellac on the bottom and then follow-up with the crinoline and clear and dark wax afterwards?
