Everything turned out beautiful just love it all. FYI there's a milk paint that is food grade safe as well a finishing oil-Hemp oil by Sweet Pickins Milk Paint that you can apply it to like the rolling pin, cutting boards, wood bowls, etc., That way you can add a punch of color to items that you normally wouldn't. Thanks for all the tip bit info. and creative ideas. Blessings.

Thank you because my youngest son who just turned 24 has autism, was diagnosed at 2 1/2 with moderate to severe autism, then at age 9 by the same neurologist who BTW was in awe of the progress my son had made since he was given his 1st diagnosis at 2 1/2, so he evaluated my son again & gave him a new diagnosis of HFA (high functioning autism)...WOW!!! So I thank you so very much for what you do for the autism community, but also for mentioning it & the thrift store in your video. Take care, 🎀 Lily 🎀 P.S. Happy Valentines Day ❤️

Many blessings to you and your son, Lily! You must be so proud of his progress. Shopping at Spectrum is just a small way for me to support my friends and their children with autism.
@lilyfultz97022 жыл бұрын
@@kindashabby Oh yes, I am extremely proud of him, his progress & how hard he had to work to get back to us because I knew he was in that dark & lonely place they call autism, which we got most of him back & I am so very thankful for that, so that he can enjoy his life. He was developing as any typical child & we gradually started losing him, which I don’t know what caused his autism, whether it was environmental, vaccines or his father harming him in one of his anger rages, which his father is no longer in our lives because he made a huge mistake of assaulting me in one of his rages in front of our son with autism, so he immediately stopped speaking to his father & refuses to see his father, which it’s been since July 2015, but I noticed a huge difference for the better in our son within 2 weeks of his father being vacated from our home & he told me he didn’t want his father coming back in our house or moving back in because he fears him, so I divorced him & my focus is solely on myself & my youngest son now & I do my very best to keep drama, toxic & angry people far away from us, which has made a huge improvement in both of our lives. Anyway, thank you again & keep making those awesome videos, which I’ve been trying to do for several years now, but I’ve had to focus on more important things & hopefully I will be able to get my KZbin channel up & running in the near future, but I don’t stress myself about it because my health & my youngest son are my main priorities for now. Take care, 🎀 Lily 🎀

@Em22-wtf2 жыл бұрын
If like me, you thrift bc you like to save money & resell at a lower price point or are a very small upcycler/re-seller....I know a LOT OF PEOPLE on YT use SO MANY of the IOD products, so it can get EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE between the molds, the stamps AND now the transfers that everyone is changing to, it'd be IMPOSSIBLE to keep up if you are a SMALL TIME re-seller or even just a crafter.....But, I have found GREAT molds on Amazon for under $20 that are just as good, I also have bought a few IOD molds too. I see no difference, except maybe the Amazon (Reflections or something like that is the brand, if you search clay molds itll come up, they are in the same color as the one seen in this video) ones are a tad bit smaller, which I can deal with bc the price is MUCH cheaper...plus you have to factor in shipping for each new product IOD has out or in stock after being gone for a while. Some IOD sellers wont have what you want in stock, so you sometimes have to try something else or wait and each order has shipping to factor in so it can get expensive. Ive paid over $60 for TWO items recently, with shipping, a set of stamps & a mold. Whereas Ive ordered 3 molds for less than that on Amazon with free shipping. Just def look around if youre looking to order more than one, there are other great sellers out there too, IF like me, you just cant be spending $25-40 a whack every time something new comes out. The people I see that have a large collection of IOD products are usually MUCH BIGGER re-sellers (or maybe they get a discount, but I simply cant afford 5 different molds at over $25-50 Each, same with the transfers. YES they are nice....but there ARE cheaper options that work JUST as GOOD. Ive even bought $2 molds on Ali Express that come out just as beautiful! Im thrifty bc I like to be, but also I have to be, lol! Hope this helps!

@kindashabby7 ай бұрын
Thank you so much Lisa! I’m using an acrylic quilting ruler that I bought from Walmart. The letter stamps that I use are slightly tacky on the back, which allows them to cling to the ruler long enough for me to ink and apply them to my surface. I hope this helps!

QUESTION- How do i know when to use the Plaid brand wax to seal a project or the polycrylic finish? Thanks
@kindashabby3 жыл бұрын
Good question! I seal most items with wax if they are decorative pieces that won’t have much handling. I’ll use the polycrylic for surfaces that will get more use, such as the handles of the rolling pin, or if I painted a table top or dresser top. But, the poly can be used instead of the wax on decorative pieces too. I hope this helps answer your question. Thank you!
