My best friend had that doll house! We played with it all the time. I had the 'working out barbie' that came with the cassette (that song is permanently stuck in my head lol) and I remember I loved the TV because it reminded me of my barbie. I think it was my first articulated barbie and I was obsessed! That was a fun trip down memory lane. 😊

My mom collected Marie osmond dolls! That was a great price considering she would sell them on qvc for $100 or more. She no longer has the doll line unfortunately. Her line was unique because she never reused face molds. Each doll had a new face. And most of the time they were limited in the amount made. She was on qvc for about 20 years selling dolls.

As someone who works at at thrift store and prices items, I can confirm that we price dolls mostly based off of brand and popularity. Also we like to put tiny things in bags so we can charge more money, or at least the one I work at, since we spend a lot on the bags themselves. Also as a doll collector, it’s so hard whenever I see beautiful dolls come in and I have to fight the temptation.

Yaass the folding barbie house. I found this a few months back for $8 CAD. Mine has the door but miss the windows in the bedroom. Mine came with the bench for the kitchen. I'm so in love with it. Hope I can find the windows and gate.

Great Adora Belle find . She's one of my favorite doll lines. I have around 40 of her . Plus a ton of Marie Osmond dolls. You would love some of her Halloween dolls.

The mini dollhouse is from Barbie Toy Store (1998), it came with miniature Mattel products of the time including a Cabbage Patch Kid, HotWheels, mini Barbies and tiny Glitter Beach fashion packs ;)

I feel that on having to limit yourself on what dolls you thrift. When I started thrifting dolls I would get every single one I saw. Then I started ending up with bags full of barbies I didn’t want so I had to limit myself to only dolls with old school Barbie bodies, and now I’ve gotten to the point where I’ll only grab a Barbie bag if one has a full outfit like a ball gown or if they’re a non white doll because barbies of color are so rare at least where I live the Walmart’s don’t even order them.

I had a similar doll house , probably the next generation of it. I specifically remember a fold out camper I had , that had bunk beds in it. It was my favorite toy and I think I used it until it fell apart.

I recently bought I preschool themed doll it’s adorable and it’s not a collector doll but it brought me joy. I have no shame I buy what speaks to me😎 I’m being super picky what I buy of late making better choices I do have limited space so I have to be more selective. I love the cupcake doll her face is precious! Also you can always purge your collection if you get bored of something. I had Alice in Wonderland beanie babies that were 25 years old and I finally donated them because really they’re just dust collectors and I did love them but they outgrew their time.💖🦄🌈

Did anyone else LOL that the retired LE dance duffel for Marisol was $1 less than the off brand roller skates? I get that the skates were new in package but Marisol was Girl of the Year many years ago and that duffel is probably worth much more than the skates on the secondary market.

I found a doll with the same face at goodwill, but wearing a Christmas style dress. I thought it was a marie osmond doll but there was a different signature on the back that I couldn't make out. I was on the fence and left her there and of course regretted it! Anyone know if these adora belle dolls have someone else's signature (maybe the doll artist) on the back?
