That deal really isn’t crazy. In my country you can buy a good, used 5S for around 25€. I myself bought several iPhones for under 5€, including an iPhone 5S, 6, 6 Plus and 7.

Tip: Goodwill long ago figured out what the good stuff is and they sell it all on their web sites now. Finding ANYthing of marginal value in an outlet is in unicorn territory.

Worked at a goodwill when they first started selling online and let me tell you the stuff we sent away to go up on the website all fell through the cracks. somebody was pocketing 90% of it.

There used to be some surplus stores like Halted Specialties and Wierd Stuff Warehouse, where there was mostly electronic stuff in all shapes and sizes. Like Fry's Electronics, they are now a part of the history of the area.

That’s funny, my coworker and I were in Cupertino and dropped into the Goodwill… better than South San Francisco’s for clothes and gadgets, but for not books, records or CD’s… Anyway, saw the Cinema Display and passed on it, but got two pour over coffee makers to make Vietnamese ice coffee for two, score!
