Thanks so much for watching! I had so much fun making over the decor that my niece and nephew selected for me. I hope you enjoy it, too! I’m working on Kirkland home decor dupes for next week. If you have seen something you love at Kirklands and would like to see me try to make it for cheaper, let me know what it is, and I will add it to the video!

My mother's canning funnel was a funky old red plastic, but I think that's what those two metal "planters" used to be. The wide mouth funnel let you fill your canning jar without getting the edge of the jar wet which may have prevented it from sealing correctly. I think you did an awesome job upcycling the things the kids chose--and I think they could be promising upcyclers, too! These are the first of your "old" videos that I have seen and I appreciate your current microphone and even better "teaching" skills!

For your last upcycle, the cups with holes in the bottom were used many, many years ago for canning. The canner would place them over the jars' mouths, which made filling easier. I had forgotten about the cups; thanks for taking me back to a more gentle time when I was a little girl. I love your channel; you fast became my favorite. K

Hi Sherry. Yes the bottomless cups are funnels are for canning jars! Love everything. Your niece and nephew are so cute. Love how you met all the challenges! As far as the format. I like it but would also enjoy a recap at the end. A favorite? I think the chicken!

The bottomless cups are canning funnels, but are more interesting after upcycling. The green shelf was my favorite. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much, Annie. I always appreciate your feedback! I think the lamp was my favorite, too. It was so ugly. Just painting the metal black was a big improvement. The comments seem to indicate that this format is better, so I think I’ll be using it going forward.

Thank you so much, Laurie! I love your analogy! I had been considering starting a blog instead of a KZbin channel. I actually started working on it, and I called it “The Road Less Traveled”! 😀
