Put an upside down command hook inside your cabinet and run ribbon up and over your cabinet door top and hook it on the upside down hook. I have done for years with a red berry wreath on my corner glass cabinet with Christmas plaid ribbon. Just discovered your channel...love it...keep em coming!

Hi, and Yes, I am one of those 65 and older. You can use command strips to hold your wreaths onto your cupboard. Drape the ribbon over the inside of the door and attach the command strip. I live in Georgia but originally from Michigan.

I had to work alot because I was a single Mom. I had strayed away from the Lord and was bitter. I had to be both Mom and Dad and sole provider. So I missed so much time away from my older girls. My Mom was there with us, thank God. I thought I would be single for the rest of my life and I was ok with that. Then God put my now husband into my life. We have two girls! We love the Lord and Praise the Lord everyday for saving us and putting our family on His path. I stay at home with our last daughter and I am thanking God for this blessing of being able to stay home with her. The seasons change so fast. Enjoy this time, it only last for a moment. But you will never regret doing life God's way. Your doing an awesome job. Your doing one of the most important jobs! God bless

Thrift World is a for profit store so prices are higher than like your Salvation Army, Goodwill, etc. Goodwill prices can be all over the place! Also, here’s a tip for getting scratches off white dishes that happens just from stacking them usually-barkeepers friend! And for mugs with tea or coffee stains, use those fizzing denture cleaning tablets! Fellow Nebraskan here.

I’m 70 now and when I was in my late 20s early 30s I sometimes felt like staying home with my kids was somehow less than what other women that worked outside the home were doing,like they had a real job and I didn’t. It was the late 70s early 80s, women were supposed to be liberated. One morning after I had dropped my kids off at school, I sat in my cozy chair by the window with a cup of tea, it had started to snow and my neighbor was outside scraping ice off her car windshield when it suddenly dawned on me that I was the liberated one because I could do whatever I wanted after I finished my tea and I looked out the window with the snow intensifying and I felt sorry for her. It was just a moment on an ordinary day as a young mother and wife that I never forgot because it changed my whole perspective.

I’m in the 50+ group I had thrifted some of my kids clothing when they were young I love seeing people’s thrift finds and seeing what they do with them - if you don’t find a stable for your nativity think about using sticks or small branches and put together with hot glue you could come up with a good size customizable stable. I have a brass horn like that over an evergreen teardrop swag on my front door instead of a wreath.... Added a little red bow and some pinecones and it's super cute! Have fun styling it, great find!

Yay! I’m 56 and I’m new to your channel but I love your channel! You are so funny and I love that you’re a Christian, a sweet mama and you have wonderful taste! I wish our thrift stores had as many nice things at such good prices as yours in Nebraska - I may need to make a road trip😊 My favorite thing you thrifted was the nativity set and the sled! I have an old sled I put on my front porch which I have tied old ice skates to with a bow. It looks really nice, you might consider trying that.

I don’t have the time to read through the comments so sorry if you have already been informed. Yes, the brass thing is a trivet. You use it to put your pots on to prevent scorching the table. The green things looked like cloth napkins not place mats. Place mats will be thicker and (usually)more rectangular. I love your channel. I love your style. I wish you would learn how to resell some of your finds. I would definitely be interested in some of the things you have shown.

Thank you for your help! If they are napkins.... they might be worth going back for! I was thinking they were a little bit large. I'm not sure about where is the best place to sell, or what all of the ins and outs of packaging are. Honestly, it all feels a little overwhelming when stacked on top of the channel, home schooling, running a painting business, and having 3 kiddos full time!

I was thinking you could lean the sled against the wall next to your front door and drape the skates over one side of the sled. Also, to hang wreaths on your kitchen cabinets loop ribbon through the wreath long enough so a couple of inches of ribbon can be bent over the top of the door then attach with either a tack or packing tape.

Saw the collaboration video you did with Hillary and am very much enjoying your channel. I have a few years on you :) but still have young children so I feel I can relate to women of all ages which just makes life more fun, anyway. I was raised in a frugal family so it is second nature to me. About 90% of the items in our home are secondhand, many family pieces that have been given to me and I adore them. Nothing new can give you that feeling. Just want to encourage your journey. Frugality will give you so many options in life and will give your children a wonderful legacy to carry on.
