Well hello my sweet friend!! Sure have missed you, so its good to see you! But I totally understand & I'm so glad you had a wonderful break & quality time with your family😊 Family is important & should definitely always take priority! Fall is my fav time of year. I've recently moved to Florida from Tennessee ..TN is magical in the fall. I loved having my morning coffee on my front porch swing looking out across the mountains painted in reds & yellows & oranges!! Gods beautiful masterpiece😊 When we finally have fall in FL.. most places will already be having winter🫤 But hope to take a couple long weekends to go rent a cabin & visit! That brass piece was a candlestick for a larger candle, i have a couple that size. I actually found candles for them at Walmart! I saw some really nice baskets! My fav art to collect is photos or hand painted portraits, especially from the regency/Victoria era or anywhere around that time. The 2 pieces you showed of the ladies, i loved, both frames & art❤ Ohhh no! That truly was a beautiful vase, I'm sure it hurt your daughter too, bless her heart😕 Ducks, geese & chickens are really coming back into decor lately! My son, who will be 25 in a couple weeks, was a terror on a car ride if it was over 30min, when he was little. I'm talking screaming to the top of his lungs until the ride was over💀 He was 3 when they came out with the portable dvd players that hooked onto the headrest of the car, & plugged into the cigarette lighters or you could use a charged battery pack. Girlfriend that thing was A true God send🙌🏻 Lol Saved me from what would have been many nervous breaking considering we traveled almost every wkend at least an hour or more away, my husband was a softball player. And at 6 or 7 we flew to Phoenix, AR.. it saved us on that trip also🤪... With the exception of the grumpy old man that sat in front of us & expected young children to act like adults & sleep the entire plane ride, didn't want the sound on the dvd.. Luckily we were traveling with friends & were able to do some switching around🙄lol I'm excited to see all your travel thrifting & finds! Again, its great having you back & TFS😊

Happy you found the DvD player lol sounds like it really got you through those years of travels haha thanks for sharing what that candle is, I was wondering why it was so wide!! Excited to thrift here in the south and can’t wait to share it with you!! Thanks for watching, I hope you have a blessed week! ❤️❤️❤️

have a fantastic holiday! i always go thrifting when i'm away, you never know what you can find. thrifting stores and online second hand are always my first look when searching for something in particular (and also for browsing). as they say "one man's trash is another man's treasure!!!! it is a great lesson for our kids, and things are usually better quality when purchased second hand. thanks for an enjoyable episode>😊❤

Yes, that brass piece is most likely a candlestick holder. Candles used to come on that wider size 😊

The dark stained “tray” is actually a basket lid! I have the set of 3 baskets and the lid is the exact same! Using it as a tray is a grey way to repurpose it though :)
@elizabethdipetta68724 ай бұрын
Oh my goodness that’s so cool you have it and it’s a lid! That’s the great thing about thrifting, it makes you think outside the box! Thank you for watching, I truly appreciate you.

Hi Elizabeth, I absolutely enjoy your thrifting videos. Living in South Africa, we do not have thrift stores like you guys have in Canada 😅

Always love your videos. So sad that your pottery piece broke 😢. My daughter loves thrifting, she even gets more excited to go thrifting than to go to the mall. She said she can find more quality pieces at the thrift stores than at the mall for way more less money. And she is a teen. So very happy that she loves thrifting
@elizabethdipetta68724 ай бұрын
Hello!! Thank you so much for comenting, I am sorry I missed it! I was so sad, but she felt so bad that it made me feel worse! I love that your daughter enjoys thrifting as a teen! I hope mine will too!! Thank you so much for watching, I am so thrilled that you enjoy my content! It means a lot! Have a lovely day!

You mentioned that the plate you picked up felt too light to be stoneware. The goal in making ceramics is to throw and build as light as possible. Many items at thrift stores are heavier because pieces from all levels of skill are donated. Lightweight is a good thing.
