Construction waste and consumption is a big problem. This salvage yard is committed to minimizing construction waste, providing an affordable resource stream for the community, and offering public education about reuse. They also make donations of free supplies to local nonprofits and neighbors in need. If you're working on a remodel or building a home, salvage yards are a great option for more than just decor and furniture -- you can find donated tile, kitchen appliances, doors and much more, all while minimizing waste and contributing to a community fund.

I’m in Baltimore and there’s a few places that have incredible antiques. The first that comes to mind is a place called Second Chances, which is near the casino here. But it’s this MASSIVE warehouse that has everything from the tiniest little vintage fixtures to literal two story stone columns pulled off old federal buildings or colonial houses. They have furniture, they have Knick knacks, they have vintage movie theater marquees. It’s insane! But so cool, even to just look around. I also think of another place called Ryan’s Relics that’s in my neighborhood(ish). It’s an antique place that mostly focuses on furniture but they also have smaller items. They have TWO locations right down the street from each other because they have so much inventory! PS. I never comment on KZbin videos and I hardly follow anyone but you are one of my favorite channels.. Still cackling over the “Jesus Marrying Joseph” comment. Love your vlogs too. Love it-great video. My hospital Admin Dad was in a serious auto wreck (hit twice in the accident) when I was 12. Being Catholic in those days-all huge families...we had 10 kids all about a yr apart. Mom was left @35yrs old to raise us all alone (kinda makes the 1 child complainers sit up & think twice). I being the eldest, helped her raise all 10 of us-so did we THRIFT?! I'm just now in the last few yrs beginning to do things more for myself, however, I do know the JOY of giving & serving & continue in this mode I was taught by my precious Mother, Peg, "In GIVING, WE RECIEVE". All in balance w/boundaries. We all learned how to make Diamond out of the Rough & get on our elbow grease to create something beautiful. Love your place & took pics of your mantle ideas (the Mirror is gorgeous!) as I just left my retirement Dream Home I'd designed & built...from a mandate mania coastal state to move to a FREE state. Starting over at 71 is rough to move-but there's no price for Freedom! So, starting over in an older Casita Spanish style house & making it my own (hence-found you!)...FUN!!!! Thnx again, for your great creative video design ideas.

This was so nice, you made us a cool CW video snack before your surgery so that we wouldn't have to be starving for your insights while you healed! Literally using the last shreds of your frayed meniscus to take us on a thrifting journey. You're the best, Caroline😎!

Recommendation for antique store is Roaches in the Attic in Herndon. The name alone is amazing, but the owner is really nice (last name is Roach) and they have a great selection.

Keep that mirror--it is so beautiful with its dark wood and simple lines. I think it was a steal at that price. I like it better than the one on the left--it has more soul. I have been to salvage places and they were so expensive--this place looks great!.

My favorite glass cleaner is meathod! Never went back once I found it! Love your music picks in your video...liked the salvage yard!

That salvage place is so similar to one in Jacksonville, Florida, where I live! It’s called Eco Relics. I found the centerpiece of my kitchen there - a 1955 Maytag Dutch Oven….GAWGEOUS!!!! (That’s Southern for gorgeous.) I absolutely adore that mirror that you bought! It is so perfect on your mantle. I love the diamond-shaped cut mirrors on the bottom. You showed the oil painting in place of the mirror over the small chest next to the fireplace, but you had moved the “new” mirror from over the mantle! Aaaggghhhh….why?!?! I definitely think you would be crazy to get rid of the new mirror. It obviously belongs over the mantle! Move the other mirror somewhere else - put the door; I don’t care where . I really like the hurricane lamp too. It looks good everywhere that you put it. This was fun! (KEEP THE MIRROR OVER THE FIREPLACE!!!! Otherwise, I WILL hunt you down!) Mwaah. Blessings! 💋❤️

Thanks so much for visiting Community Forklift! I've been a supporter forever - I picked up bricks for a brick edged garden we were making. Great choices for young people first furnishing a home!

Marylander here! I’m going to have to check this place out. My in-laws live in that area and my husband and I are trying to remodel our home ourselves without breaking the bank. Thanks for another great video. Keep up the good work!

Love the mirror above the fireplace! Also the seven articles arranged there as well! Always use an odd number of things! 3 5 7 just like flowers in a vase! Caroline you are so charismatic! I always enjoy your videos! Thank you for being you!

I actually LOVE the bigger mirror on your fireplace mantle better than the smaller one!
