Construction waste and consumption is a big problem. This salvage yard is committed to minimizing construction waste, providing an affordable resource stream for the community, and offering public education about reuse. They also make donations of free supplies to local nonprofits and neighbors in need. If you're working on a remodel or building a home, salvage yards are a great option for more than just decor and furniture -- you can find donated tile, kitchen appliances, doors and much more, all while minimizing waste and contributing to a community fund.

Wow what a place! I saw several things I would snap up in a heartbeat! There's nothing like that where I live, sadly. There are thrift stores & antique stores, but no architectural salvage yards or stores. That place is amazing.

I agree with the other folks. The darker, bigger mirror seems to be a better fit or balance in relation to the fire place opening. While a nice mirror the smaller one doesn't seem right over the fire place, but keep it! Love, love, love your energy and you make me laugh every time! I’m no interior decorator but I love the big mirror! It looks so lovely and fits so perfectly there on the mantle. There were so many pieces of furniture that was so beautiful and priced so low. So very impressed with your design sensibility. You have something unique happening in that muse of yours. Dont let anybody screw with it, cuz you are good. Dunno if you want your own design show and books and stuff, but that's where it's headed. Dont let 'em ruin you. You're cool.

I’m in Baltimore and there’s a few places that have incredible antiques. The first that comes to mind is a place called Second Chances, which is near the casino here. But it’s this MASSIVE warehouse that has everything from the tiniest little vintage fixtures to literal two story stone columns pulled off old federal buildings or colonial houses. They have furniture, they have Knick knacks, they have vintage movie theater marquees. It’s insane! But so cool, even to just look around. I also think of another place called Ryan’s Relics that’s in my neighborhood(ish). It’s an antique place that mostly focuses on furniture but they also have smaller items. They have TWO locations right down the street from each other because they have so much inventory! PS. I never comment on KZbin videos and I hardly follow anyone but you are one of my favorite channels.. Still cackling over the “Jesus Marrying Joseph” comment. Love your vlogs too. One of my favorite new things I've seen with those antique dresser-mirrors (that sat flat on the dresser) is to mount them on the wall UPSIDE DOWN -- and then you have an odd shaped mirror and can use the flat 'stand' as a shelf for plants/vases/decor. 🤯

Love it-great video. My hospital Admin Dad was in a serious auto wreck (hit twice in the accident) when I was 12. Being Catholic in those days-all huge families...we had 10 kids all about a yr apart. Mom was left @35yrs old to raise us all alone (kinda makes the 1 child complainers sit up & think twice). I being the eldest, helped her raise all 10 of us-so did we THRIFT?! I'm just now in the last few yrs beginning to do things more for myself, however, I do know the JOY of giving & serving & continue in this mode I was taught by my precious Mother, Peg, "In GIVING, WE RECIEVE". All in balance w/boundaries. We all learned how to make Diamond out of the Rough & get on our elbow grease to create something beautiful. Love your place & took pics of your mantle ideas (the Mirror is gorgeous!) as I just left my retirement Dream Home I'd designed & built...from a mandate mania coastal state to move to a FREE state. Starting over at 71 is rough to move-but there's no price for Freedom! So, starting over in an older Casita Spanish style house & making it my own (hence-found you!)...FUN!!!! Thnx again, for your great creative video design ideas.

I really love that hurricane lamp ❤ It has so much shape, as someone who thrifts when I can, I am most drawn to the quirky stuff and the not so basic shapes

We just bought in DC and my realtor HIGHLY recommended this place. I'm glad to see it's worth the hype. As soon as our house gets over the CO VID I'm out here🥴

I get some of the best tools and building supplies for my historic farmhouse renovation from the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Timonium, Maryland. For antiquing I go right over the Pennsylvania boarder to a town called Shrewsbury because there’s just so many shops to visit in one central location. I always carry a tape measure and my floor plans so I know if something I find fits or not. A cup of coffee helps too. Haha. Happy hunting.

Wow, came at a good time! I was awake all night thinking about the paint colour in my open plan lounge, dining room, kitchen... I needed the anxiety chat. Chanting "it's just stuff in my head" ❤

Thrifting / antiquing videos are my favorites! Okay, lied they are my second favorites. Your room make overs are my favorites! Honestly, I love the room make overs after thrifting for items for such said room. Now that I think about it you nearly hit the nail on the head with your bedroom make over. What I really want to say is …I love you channel ❤️

Paige with the editing - freaking superstar! Also, been a subscriber for only a couple of weeks and I've binged them all now. Maybe I need to get a life, but I am very selective and only have a handful of subscriptions to YT, and Caroline, yours is my favorite. Love your editing style and how well it melds with Paige's. Very fun, real, relevant content. This is some kind of therapy for me. Thank you!

I was watching an AD house tour, but quickly abort mission when your new post came up 😅 You are correct. The hurricane lamp is for candles. When I'm not sure what something is I take a picture and Google the picture. It usually comes up with either the exact item or something very similar. I have stumped Google search on occasion 😅 This was a fun video. I hope your knee is feeling better and healing well.

First Demi Lovato, but then KZbin played the John Stamos tour automatically after. I was holding back comments on how it felt like his wife took over or would ignore his sentimental thoughts and move right into talking about what she loved about the home. So I was happy to stop watching that and get to your new video! 😝

Nice finds! The new mirror has a unique shape, adds interest, and is the just the right size for the mantle! It looks high end. The other one is a bit too small and seems to get lost in that same space. Just my two cents though ;).

Recommendation for antique store is Roaches in the Attic in Herndon. The name alone is amazing, but the owner is really nice (last name is Roach) and they have a great selection.

Keep that mirror--it is so beautiful with its dark wood and simple lines. I think it was a steal at that price. I like it better than the one on the left--it has more soul. I have been to salvage places and they were so expensive--this place looks great!.

That salvage place is so similar to one in Jacksonville, Florida, where I live! It’s called Eco Relics. I found the centerpiece of my kitchen there - a 1955 Maytag Dutch Oven….GAWGEOUS!!!! (That’s Southern for gorgeous.) I absolutely adore that mirror that you bought! It is so perfect on your mantle. I love the diamond-shaped cut mirrors on the bottom. You showed the oil painting in place of the mirror over the small chest next to the fireplace, but you had moved the “new” mirror from over the mantle! Aaaggghhhh….why?!?! I definitely think you would be crazy to get rid of the new mirror. It obviously belongs over the mantle! Move the other mirror somewhere else - put the door; I don’t care where . I really like the hurricane lamp too. It looks good everywhere that you put it. This was fun! (KEEP THE MIRROR OVER THE FIREPLACE!!!! Otherwise, I WILL hunt you down!) Mwaah. Blessings! 💋❤️
