K :) I very seldom comment on peoples decorating style. Much of the designs we see everyday are dictated by cost. You on the otherhand, have made choices with thrifted pieces that everyone can achieve. Your eye for design.......well lets' just say I hope to see you all over the internet! Beautiful :)

You have such a unique eye & point of view! I never know what you’re going to do next. Your projects don’t look like anyone else’s, & I love that. I no longer follow designers whose homes all look the same: neutrals ad nauseam, table lamps painted with baking soda, & boxes turned into fake books. It’s boring & embarrassing. You’re a breath of fresh air. If I had to pick a favorite in your artistic living room, I think it would be your dreamy hanging light with the recently added stamens. It’s like something out of a Dior-inspired fairytale. - Mittens PS: I love the painting of your great-grandmother! It’s so intense & arresting. I can understand why it would have scared you as a little girl, but it’s remarkable!

I would really keep that buffet -I think you would regret losing it down the track. I understand that at the moment that colour stands out and perhaps for you jars. What about hanging a textile which is the same same width as the buffet behind it? It could perhaps be a woven piece of fabric that combines the tones of the buffet AND the new colours you want to introduce ? The acoustic qualities of a textile could be a good addition to 'cosy' as well.

I think you’re exactly right. 😊 I think I would regret losing it and I couldn’t store it anywhere. Thanks for the idea, I’ll keep it in mind. 🌷

Firstly, you are a genius when it comes to reupholstery! I love the thought you put into everything you do. The effort is evident in the results. Your media console is amazing! That was a great idea and works so well with the style of your home. I don’t feel the room looks crowded, from the video. It looks cozy and makes sense. I’m loving your videos. They are interesting and very well made. Thank you for all of the effort that goes into the content and the editing.

Your room is beautiful. I love the mint green of your sideboard, but I understand your needing a change. You can’t wreck something that you want to use, it’s useless otherwise. The painting of your grandmother is very scary. 😂
@ThriftingInteriorsАй бұрын
Thank you! 🌷☀️ The painting is actually of my great-grandmother. I do totally understand how you can feel that way about the painting and even the original frame is quite a lot. I just see a portrait full of character both from the model and the artist. 🤩

I need advice l got this 100 year old tapestry from antique store. Dimensions are 1820mm by 1230 mm. not sure how to hang it without drilling hooks on the wall made out plasterboard currently on the same wall l have a landscape artwork print 1600 by 1200 that handyman installed 2 nails hooks in the middle of the wall so as to hang and balance the artwork beautifully. I feel to hang the tapestry l will need hooks at the top of the white wall, am looking for renter friendly option without damaging the wall.
@ThriftingInteriorsАй бұрын
That sounds like a pretty heavy tapestry because of the size... I would imagine if you want to use command hooks or something like that you would need several of them. Maybe they have instructions on how much weight one can actually carry. Then you’d have to know the weight of the tapestry and calculate from there how many hooks you need. The wall underneath the hooks would need to be very clean and I think you should let them set for like 24 hours before actually hanging the tapestry on them. But this is just guessing… in my experience anything you don’t drill into the wall is not going to be very strong for heavy objects. And if it’s plaster there’s always the possibility the top layer will come off with any sort of tape option. Quite a hard one! Hope you can come up with something! And remember to consider whether you’ll need a rod in the back to hang it straight. Or maybe just ask the landlord if you can hang it by drilling a couple of neat holes 🤓
