I'm pretty sure a Parka isnt a "light weight jacket", its a straight up coat with a hood. Traditionally a fairly heavy one with a fur lined hood. When I saw the episode title I thought Coolirpa was being VERY ambitious. not that this didnt turn out great. I loved it, especially the hood. Great as always.
@coolirpa8 жыл бұрын
When I searched up parka, similar designs showed up which is why I thought to named it that. What style jacket would you call it? :)
@waiting2beRESCUED98 жыл бұрын
It's just a hooded rain jacket shape. A light jacket as you said is literally what it is. A parka is for cold climates and has thermal insulation.
@coolirpa8 жыл бұрын
Okay thanks for the clarification :)
@undetestable18 жыл бұрын

Another great transformation! Your creativity is astounding! :D If you have time, I have a quick question: I had ideas about a double layered jacket, and I was wondering what additional steps you would take to line it. Would you have lined each piece before sewing them together? Or would the lining be added after you put the jacket together? Maybe this could be answered in a new video? :D Again, great work, April!
@coolirpa8 жыл бұрын
You would have to sew one full jacket and one full lining jacket and then sew them right sides together. Sew around all the edges except the sleeves and leave an opening at the bottom of jacket to turn it inside out after 🤗

You're amazing. Thank you thank you! :D Can't wait to see what you come up next!

Karianne Hylkema Because that person took the original song and recreated it using different instruments, etc. It's really a sorta "revamp/remix" type thing? I'm not sure what the actual term to use would be, but it's pretty much just a recreation of the song in a different way.

how come you didn't line the jacket? or at least the hood? because when your hood is down you can see raw edges...
@kerryoke688 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't call those raw edges, that piping strip is part of the style. I have seen that in other fashion.
@coolirpa8 жыл бұрын
I actually sewed bias strips out of the printed fabric to hid the raw edges of the hood.

Wow! I love what she created and I would definitely wear this jacket. My son't amazing mother-in-law is an artist with a sewing machine and other crafty things. The running joke in our family is that if both she and I were given 2 cardboard boxes, along with the same exact crafts type articles and then given 24 hours to create. . .that in 4 hours she would have created at least 10 amazing items. . .and when the 24 hours were up I would still be staring at 2 cardboard boxes and all the crafts items. . . Doesn't hurt my feelings, because it's true.
