The round metal tin looks to have been decoupaged with floral flowers which are glued on - best to use as linen storage and perhaps just spray varnish again to preserve it - would spoil it to paint over - Diane UK 💕

I think you are right about the floral piece. I think it is a vintage hamper. I would use it for blankets, or spare toilet paper in a bathroom, or even for a tall faux plant. I love watching leather purse restoration videos on YT. The gal I have watched uses Saddle Soap and a micro fiber cloth. Except on suede.

The floral cylinder container reminds me of the heavy cardboard shipping containers they used to use and somebody crafted it during the 1970's decoupage movement. Sometimes you can still find those containers at estate sales and they are still full of the ancient excelsior that they used as padding.

As a fellow lover of “the rustier and crustier the betterer “😂 I spray my super rusty pieces with a spray sealer made to prevent further rusting. It is in the spray paint and sealant section , sometimes in the area of spray sealants for car engines. It works great 😃After you remove any loose rust chunks and bits just spay it on. It halts the rusting process ,which will continue if you don’t stop it, and it prevents any further flaking and also makes it so you can dust it or wipe it clean when needed. I live at the beach and I put in on everything indoors and outdoors that moisture might damage, unless of course I want something to get rustier and crustier🤣😂

Julie, you passed up 3 REALLY great finds ppl want for primitive/old decor!! I can’t believe it! The wood round cheese box w/ lid, the small paper cutter and the old roll paper holder It was used in general stores and meat markets to wrap your purchases in 28:36long ago These days ppl use them, not just for decor but for aluminum foil, waxed paper, parchment paper Etc. There all worth a lot of money. Makes me sad you didn’t buy them. 💕🙏🙏

The flower metal can is so pretty. I think it will go well with blue. I have mostly blue and white in my dining room, but I have a large picture of red and yellow flowers and it blends well. It keeps the blue from being overwhelming and the contrast works. You have awesome garage sales, to find items like that in Phoenix I’d have to go to an antique store. I don’t find much at Goodwill anymore, but every once in awhile I get lucky.

Hi Julie! That yard sale is GREAT ! Don’t know what the little box is with slide top - but the little bottle brush trees would be adorable ! The radio looks to be from the 50s. She had A-LOT of vintage stuff there ! At first I thought the flower bin was a waste basket , but maybe too big . Love the big jug. I think it held wine . I enjoyed this ! You got so MUCH ! I have the same butter knives. I have them in a small ironstone pitcher next to my toaster. That green floral canister is STUNNING! 😍 You could store TP in it by your toilet or maybe a great place to store your cat food! 😁

The radio you have in your bathroom is almost like one we found in my husband's old uncle's house when cleaning it out, I have it in the kitchen. He had a lot of Trunks and old quilts. I still have them. We gave the trunk to our son.

The green large tin you bought is FANTASTIC! yOU MIGHT TRY PUTTING SOME ANTIQING WAX ON THE RED IF YOU WANT TO TONE IT DOWN A LITTLE BIT...It would make a cute laundry hamper....You can get saddle soap or leather conditioner to clean your bags, you can probably get it at farm supply or western stores... it can also be used on leather boots ( not suede)

Wow, what a huge yard sale! As a purely primitive lover, she had some great things and prices. I love the old record player and will be a fun piece to work with, so many possibilities and beautiful just by itself🤎. That old long bench…loved it! I remember years ago when I went from country and vintage to old primitive and I knew I’d found what touched me to the soul, timeless treasures of the past, coziness, warmth, peacefulness and things appreciating things that have survived years. I love watching how you’re going more primitive and remember that feeling that I had when I just knew🤎🤎🤎 The red candles are advent candles♥️that do go on the clips on primitive Christmas trees
