Oh, when you said 'avocado oil', that reminded me of a man who used to come into the store I worked at, and he would just buy avocado oil, so one day I asked him why. He said he made and repaired saddles, and it was hands down the best oil he had come across for restoring and protecting the leather and his hands. I just love you, your channel, and your content - thank you for making such a nurturing and informative place to hang out for a few minutes on the days you post!

This is another beautiful video from you. They are such a treat, and leave me feeling warm and cozy!! One question I have is about using oils on the face. When I use an oil, it tends to end up going into my hairline, causing small bumps. I have never had acne, so this has really surprised me. After watching your video, I'm going to try mixing some oil into my moisturizer! I've been using the lowest strength Tretinoin, and adding an oil would be so helpful!!
@asimpleseason26166 ай бұрын
Yes, you can certainly mix it with your moisturizer, Patti...the small bumps are most likely milia where the oil might be too heavy or where the oils from the scalp are interacting with it creating a bit of a clog...so mixing it may be a good solution for you...skincare is a bit of experimentation to find the right personal mix :)

I love all your videos. I will try avocado oil. I’m going through menopause and I’ve noticed so many skin changes lately. I can’t use anything harsh like hyluaronic (spelling?) or retinol. It burns and hurts my skin for days. I’m always looking for something that will be effective yet natural and simple. Thank you for the great tip!

Nice suggestions on the skin moisturizing. Anything for dark spots on face?
@asimpleseason26166 ай бұрын
Topical solutions for dark spots can help reduce the darkness of the spots by about 30-50% and they work by suppressing the production of melanin in the skin and they also usually have some type of exfoliant as well. You can get a good result if the spots aren't super dark. They will return, however, if you stop using the product and if you go out in the sun without sunscreen. You can use any dark spot corrector you like since they all work pretty much in the same way...if the spots are very dark and/or you want a longer term solution, laser treatment is another option ...That being said I am doing some research into some more natural solutions as well and I'll post some info if I find anything good...hope that helps

So you can use just avocado oil?? Like the kind I keep in my kitchen? 😮 That would be so much healthier than the stuff at the store. That Gold pearl plum is so pretty!! I’ll need to find that one. What foundation do use? The brand? No wonder you always look so pretty and put together. Thanks for sharing! BTW… we have a “pet” squirrel in our greenhouse. 😊

hi i am looking for a cream that will lift your skin under your chin where your neck is or tighten it up. also i am looking for a cream that will take sun spots away
@asimpleseason26166 ай бұрын
the neck area can be difficult to tackle since much of the aging in this area is due to excessive sun damage ...topical products can make a small difference though ...What will help is exfoliation once a week and then applying your regular anti aging products (looking for ingredients like peptides and/or retinol) and carry them down to your neck as well as your face...the neck area can also require more moisture than the face sometimes so this is where oils can come in handy ...hope that helps :)

I purchased the the Revlon Goldpearl Plum lipstick after watching this video, and unfortunately, it does NOT look good on everyone. It turned very orange on me. Ugh, it was terrible - definitely not a good look for me. (I'm cool/fair with blue eyes and light hair).
@asimpleseason26166 ай бұрын
Oh, so sorry to hear that! I'm thinking perhaps, the natural pigment of your lips is picking up the orange tones in the lip color...A possible solution could be to try mixing it with another color you have or pairing it with a complimentary lip liner that you like to make it more blue toned...hope that helps
