I can't believe you are painting with the Fiesta right there. I love my fiesta dishes and have just about every color and I am freaking out watching you paint so close to it and then touching it with paint on your hands. You just told everyone how great your fiesta find was and the prices. I know this is an old video but please show some love for your great fiesta finds.

Before you wash your Cabbage Patch doll you might contact the "Cabbage Patch Hospital" in Cleveland, Georgia. They actually take the vintage dolls and rework them. The facility is actually the place where the first dolls were created. They also have the Teddy Ruxpins (spelling?). There is a new KZbinr "Sue Me" . She makes some really nice tiered plates and uses a very small pitcher or cup for the top. I really love to watch you all creating and working together. Jamie please take care of yourself. God bless you two and your family and happy creating. Sherry from Alabama.

Yes, the cabbage patch doll can be sent to Baby Land General Hospital, Cleveland GA ...I live in Cleveland and BLG is really a neat place to visit, especially with children. I remember years ago when the cabbage patch dolls were a big ticket item and cost anywhere from $100 to $ 150. Crazy!

@@JamiRayVintage Your telling me! My husband & I had to be "crazy" to spend that much on a doll (actually 2)...but when your girls are crying and really would like a cabbage patch doll, what is a parent to do? We should have walked away, that's what we should have done. Boy have our perspective on finances changed drastically from then to now.

Ooh! We had those divided plates when I was little, but only for the kids. /;) I have a ton of Fiesta that's been in the family since before I was born. I love it and have never stopped using it. The old stuff is so much sturdier and cooler. Good for you finding so much good stuff! Those blue mugs I'm pretty sure are not Fiesta, at least not vintage. That's not a shape they produced back then...at least I've never seen it, and we don't have any although we have a ton of different things, even some that are fairly unusual.

The orange is "radio active red". Homer Laughlin couldn't get a true red until they reissued in the modern Fiesta. Yes, the small "f" is vintage. A fully glazed bottom with pin marks on the bottom is a sure sign it is vintage. The pins held the piece off the kiln floor prevent the glazed piece from sticking to the kiln. The cups with the round handles are vintage. Many pieces are not marked. The divided plates are wonderful. The mugs are soooooooooo wonderful. I am collector and you hit the jackpot. Butter dish. Sigh. Yes, the ivory gravy boat is vintage.

When collecting Fiesta ware, the vintage plates and saucers are completely glazed underneath. They have 3 small pinlike holes on the under rim. Yours are very nice.

Put three or four dots of hot glue on your item, then put the E6000 BETWEEN the hot glue dots (don’t mix them, it will take forever to dry 😀). The hot glue will stabilize immediately so you can work with the item while the E6000 dries. I’ve seen other crafters use this method and they swear by it.

I keep looking at dishes to make tiered trays, but I haven't taken the step yet. We are the opposite of you. We don't get much snow -- especially before Christmas. (We live in SW Ontario, Canada.) Except for the year we poured the footings for the addition on our farmhouse. That year (2010), we got a snowstorm on December 12 that was the biggest most insane storm I have ever seen. Crazy thing is, it was literally a lake effect storm that only covered about two counties as opposed to a large part of Ontario.

I love Fiestaware. I’ve been collecting it for almost 30 years ❤️ I have several vintage pieces but most of my collection is P86 (post 1986). I don’t collect for value. I look for shapes I don’t currently have or when they come out with a new color (gotta have every color). My kitchen is a riot of color ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 I’m not sure if anyone answered but those blue mugs are not fiestaware. They are not the right shape or color. And while some fiestaware isn’t marked, a mug would be. The butter dish while vintage is newer. I believe the orange-y dish is a vintage color, red. It’s hard to tell from my iPad. Fiestaware can be very expensive to ship because of how heavy it is. The yellow mug that Zeb liked has what’s called a ring handle. The green creamer is also not fiestaware. I was just thinking that you haven’t paint a lot of furniture lately. Would love to see that again. Skeleton Key is so pretty. The bench came out great. Sometimes I had difficulty deciding where to distressing something as flat as that bench.

I have had the experience with E6000 when putting a handle on a glass butter dish. I put it in the refrigerator on a hot day and went to lift the lid with the handle and it came off. So I think it is susceptible to both hot and cold temps. Just an FYI.

Have you thought of any ways that you can repurpose an empty DIY paint can? Just a thought. I saw a lady who repurposed gallon paint cans. One of the things she uses it for was for coffee pods which she labeled. I believe her KZbin channel is White Cottage.

Hi there. I worked in a Fiestaware shop a very long time ago -- and I also collected it for a long time . . .the dark blue mug is not Fiestaware, and the teacup with the round handle is actually Riviera, which is a separate line of Fiestaware. Look up Riviera online to see which pieces are Riviera. The orange is radioactive. I use the orange as a plate under a soup bowl and stuff like that. The green one (the glazed one at 10:58) is not Fiestaware. If the dark blue creamer is Fiestaware, it is Riviera. There is another line called Harlequin. The three lines are all made the same, in terms of the colors and glaze, but the shapes are different, and Harlequin is lighter, slimmer, with sharp angles, less chunky. I don't think you have any. But you can find it all online I am sure.

Shades of white🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ I worked at O'Reilly Auto Parts for 10 years. I was the commercial manager for a few years so I mixed ALOT of paint. My shop guys were great! They called me with paint codes that I could just put in our system with more info and it would print a formula for me to mix. Sometimes we had to use the color eye, which scanned the actual vehicle and then created a formula. Then came the 'professionals' the shade tree painters ( my hubby is a shade tree mechanic lol so I loved those guys too) who wanted some JUST WHITE paint😳 There is NO SUCH THING AS JUST WHITE! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ gray white, yellow white, red white, black white, green...blue even purple😭 sooo...being careful not to be a bossy woman telling a man... I just sweetly explained that I didnt want to get it wrong & carried them to my paint computer, typed in white for all years, makes & models EVER created and let them scroll through the 9 bazillion chips, all which look the same on the computer😁 When their eyes started glazing over I would offer to mix a few samples with different base tints and they could try them & check them in different lighting, which will also change that white again. We always made sure our customers were happy. Even when the next customer wanted JUST BLACK paint😳😂 & then next wanted slime green with no info on it...so we mixed & dripped til we got it👍 I love paint...or maybe I've inhaled too many fumes! Thats why my now job is painting furniture. My niece wants me to paint a dresser for her...JUST GRAY 🤣🤣🤣
