She's referring to the over abundance of clothing reselling stores that are commonly found in highly populated areas of hyper-consumer capitalist mega cities in America and Canada. Second hand stores exist in every country but the culture of "thrifting" is only prevalent in America and Canada. She does not refer to South America and Mexico (even though it's North America) because these nations are both culturally different from America and Canada. Had she been in Brazil, the comment would read "Brazilians have such good thrifting shops and not Americans have such good thrifting shops" Also, non-Americans often refer to U.S as America. I'm 99.9 % sure the commenter mistook Canada for America which is totally understandable and common considering the two countires share incredibly similar societies. I simply corrected her to help her have further insight into this content creators life. To say that she is referring to the continent's of North and South America as a whole is very ignorant considering just how diverse these places are!!
