Great finds Becky! I hope you make some great money on these items! Ignore the haters as they are envious that you are proactive in making a living! 😊

Maybe they are giving you the 10% off as a senior discount. I got one recently at salvation army without asking or being a senior. I was confused at first also.
@lazyhomebody135610 ай бұрын
Becky doesn't look like a senior to me!
@tracyzoon580510 ай бұрын
@lazyhomebody1356 I'm not saying she does. If you read the whole comment you would know that. Sometimes cashiers give it to you by accident because they don't want to get someone insulted if they ask if they are. The senior discount starts at age 50 in some of my local stores.
@lazyhomebody135610 ай бұрын
@@tracyzoon5805 Oh, I knew you didn't mean that 😊 That makes sense that cashiers would give it to a custumer rather than ask. I didn't think of that
@stephaniedougherty802911 ай бұрын
I wouldn't tell prices either, they don't need to know. Lol. I love watching your finds

I guess for me it doesn’t matter. I disclose it is thrifted and most of the time thrift stores are going to be lower. If I am purchasing, I believe there is a profit to be made.

If you are a member of their rewards program, The Central Indiana Goodwills will give you 10% off when you spend $20 before tax.
@thewife-franchisekicks10 ай бұрын
Yes! I try to always take advantage of that when I can. I rarely buy less than $20.
@Stupid161611 ай бұрын
All of these people saying not to disclose the prices paid, it literally make no difference! I would guess at least 90% of the people who buy the item, will never see these videos!

I figure it doesn’t matter. I shop at the thrift store so all viewers know I buy low and try to sell for a profit. That is a business. Thanks for watching.

You should think about selling on what not lots of people thrift and sellm

Thanks. I have thought about it but at this time I don’t think that is the business model I want to do right now. Maybe in the future

I live by Indy and have been to the bins a couple of times and they can act like vultures sometimes!!
@thewife-franchisekicks10 ай бұрын
It has been years since I have been at the bins. I have thought of going back but have yet to go. I am so busy with all the other parts of the business, it is hard to find the time.

The stripey crisscross shirt that you thought looked cute might be a maternity / breastfeeding shirt. If it is, it hikes up the price.

I feel bad that you still source at Goodwill.
@thewife-franchisekicks10 ай бұрын
That is the primary thrift store in our area. There are a few others, but Goodwill is the most prominent.
@doctorspaztastic505811 ай бұрын
Terrible idea to go thrifting and tell the price of your finds. You are literally shooting yourself in the foot. Especially considering you charge sooooooo much more than you paid.
@kimjorvinhikes11 ай бұрын
Resellers like them are making things even more difficult for poor and low income. It's hard enough to get by these days and then resellers pillage thrift stores taking from those that actually need to shop second hand/thrift. Not to mention thrift stores have been raising prices to try and deter resellers since they wouldn't make enough off of the goods. Karma will catch up to them eventually.
@lesleywatkins117211 ай бұрын
You could do it yourself and make money instead of moaning about how somebody else wants to earn!
@patriciasmith728211 ай бұрын
She's listing on poshmark and ebay which buyers aren't necessarily watchers on KZbin videos, also the comment about taking from the poor is ridiculous, do yall have any clue how much is thrown out from stores including goodwill or donated to poor everyday?
@kimjorvinhikes11 ай бұрын
goodwill doesn’t donate to the poor, but she's taking from low income and poor people as a disgusting reseller. All resellers have caused prices to increase at thrift stores. The stores are trying to deter them from buying by raising prices and lowering any potential profit they might make. You've obviously never been poor or low income and have had to depend on pantries and second hand stores just to get by. But like I said Karma will catch up to them eventually.
@deborahcampbell717811 ай бұрын
People are still going to buy them. They could get the same price that she paid if they went to goodwill. Leave Becky alone!

Disgusting! Leave the clothes in thrift stores for poor and low income people. Resellers are ruining everything and making it even harder for poor people to just get by. Karma will catch up with you eventually.
@lesleywatkins117211 ай бұрын
You could do this reselling if you wanted to instead of bemoaning others who want to make some money!
@kimjorvinhikes11 ай бұрын
@@lesleywatkins1172 there's a reason people need to shop at thrift stores, it's called being low income or poor. People with very little money can't afford to spend money on something that isn't actually for them to keep. They don't have money for frivolous spending to then rip people off.
@Areyousayingidontknowmyname11 ай бұрын
I disagree. How many people in low incomes could be doing similar and earning money. The thrift shops are literally selling the products to whom ever. They are supposed to be using those dollars for Charitable use. How they get the money and what happens to it after is none of anyones business. The fact someone can do similar to her and make a living getting themselves out of hardship is actually a good thing.

Our Goodwill charges as much as new prices on sale at stores. Poor people here get their nice clothes from local online groups that give away their clothes and household goods. Heck, most of the time we can't afford the regular prices for clothing at our Goodwill stores.
