I was just watching a Laura Caldwell thrifting video. One of the goodwill she was at had the price tags very well placed. I appreciate that.

I guessed correctly about the green tea pot. It makes me feel good to identify the antique/vintagee item. I have learned a lot from watching your videos. Thank you. Loved the tea pots, but the owl bookends were my favorite. 😊😊😊

I have my grandparents' radio chest/high boy. In 1937 a flood filled their Louisville home, and ruined the legs of the highboy and most of their other furniture. Instead of throwing it out, my grandfather cut the legs down - the damaged part - and eventually it became a game cabinet, once the radio was gone. I treasure it, and the story that goes with it.

In the 1980s I worked for a furniture company called Mersman Tables. I started working in finish mill and the supervisor told me to take some parts up to the radio room on the 3rd floor. Looked at him and said, we have a radio room. Yes they built radio cabinets in 20s - 30s. Sixty years later they still referred as the radio room.

That clip of Rosemary Clooney with the beautifully sculpted hair always warms my heart, but then, in the middle, you had to include that terrifying commercial woman who could have beat out Kathy Bates for the role of Annie Wilkes in Misery. I'll wake-up screaming tonight. Loved that radio cabinet, it seems there would have been a very narrow period for marketing those, since radios were soon to come in nice cabinets. I was hoping to see it in the back of your truck. All great fun, thanks!

What a fun shopping trip, Scott, thanks for taking us along. You have so many nice things in your thrift stores, that if I went shopping with you, I would need a moving van to get it all home! It is really very simple, if it is not the color of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, then it is not vaseline glass.

Scott, I can feel for you. We are in our daily 100s here in AZ and it’s pretty uncomfortable outside. But we don’t have your humidity. (But how I do remember growing up in it.) and the improper glass styles used by folks today drives me crazy. 😵💫

Good morning, Miss Frances! (I SO loved Miss Frances and Ding Dong School). And happy Friday, Scott! I loved the almost gaudy candleholders! And the candle stand that you put in your cart - just needs some gentle love. Oh, wow - a whole family of Canadian Hissing Cobra Chickens - EEK!! The LE Smith loving cup will be perfect for autumn as will the owl bookends. Great stuff!

Those little multi colored "coasters" look like Pairpoint. These small plates (they remind me of cup plates) were fund raising items for different organizations in the 70s. They were a big thing and actually had a large club following. Stay cool Scott!

I have something similar to the radio chest in the pop up that i have been trying to sell for years. It came out of my grandparents home. Mine is complete within the radio and a record player. The radio is in a pull out drawer on one side and storage on the other still with records in binders . I think they are made of glass. There are some John Philip Souza and Fanny Brice and Paul Whiteman records.
