Just to clarify: all American brand canners do NOT use a rubber gasket. They seal metal on metal. But that means the user must - EVERY TIME - oil the lid and canner before using. Otherwise, the lid can fuse to the canner and you've got an expensive boat anchor! It's for this reason why I personally don't use one, I know I will accidentally forget. I will stick with my Presto, new gaskets are $10 - $20 at local hardware stores. Some newer canners, like Tfal do not use a shaker weight or gage, they have a "dial" system. Personally, I don't trust them. Also: for anyone with a gauge on their pressure cooker - call your local MSU extension service. They have calibration equipment to test / reset the gauge, not sure if there is a charge. Having an accurate gauge is very important, especially if you are canning meats. I'm in the Thumb and am a new subscriber!

For burnt bottoms of pans use a solution of baking soda and vinegar, bring to a boil, turn off stove. Emerse bottom of pan or is burnt inside, soak for 15 - 20 mins gunk will come off so easy. I just finished watching the video. On the VCRs do you offer free shipping? Again I want to learn so that’s why I’m asking these questions. If you purchase a VCR for $10 and then have to pay shipping of $15-$20 then the profit is kind of lean. Am I understanding this right? It is still money in your pocket of course. I’m just trying to figure it all out. I have already learned a lot from you both. Thanks 🙂
@hustlinhooks4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your complements, keep asking! We will explain this in an upcoming video. Foe the last couple of VCRs, we made a net profit of $46, $54, $42...so yes, it all depends on buy cost/shipping cost and sales cost. If we are selling a VCR for $59.99 free shipping, we build on $15 into the price for shipping. Again, we will explain in detail soon.

Hi Guys, I just found your channel this week and I have watched five of your videos. I love learning and you have good content here 🙂 What do you put your pots and pans in to ship? I’m assuming a box. Do you have just a wide variety of boxes? I’m guessing that the shipping would be expensive for something like that? I’m guessing $15-$20? I’m trying to understand how you ship that in a box and pay for shipping and make profit. Teach me your ways lol.
@hustlinhooks4 жыл бұрын
Karen, thank you for your kind words. We are working on a shipping video to explain all of this. We get most of our boxes for free from dumpsters that are all cardboard and relatively clean to dig thru. We also get free boxes from USPS.com. Pots and pans cost anywhere from $8 to $30 depending on size and weight to ship. We’ll explain how we price items in our next video.
