I really only trust your opinions, I wear glasses, have some "crusty bits", combination/ oily skin, and every time I go to Sephora or ULTA I look at things you've done reviews on and I'm like yeah she didn't like that, so I'm going to avoid that. You're an amazing beauty guru!

i love how real of a person you are. I don't mean like, "you're real" like you tell the blunt and brutal truth, but the "you're real," like you are a real and honest person. I guess you're easy to relate to. i know you always worry about your lighting and stuff but you're one of the only beauty youtubers I've watched whose close-ups look like real close-ups. other people's lights and film quality make them look "perfect" in a misleading way. but with your close ups and lighting and stuff, it's still good quality but we can really see how the products work with your skin and stuff. Like other youtubers will say something clings to their dry patches but you can't see it in their videos. when you say it does, and you close up, we can really see what you mean. anyway, keep doing your thing Cassie.

I'm not sure if you're up to suggestions about skincare of any sort, if not totally disregard this. But if you are, I have had some awful dry, scaly skin this winter, super itchy. What I do is I have some oatmeal I ran through a coffee grinder to make oatmeal powder, or oat flour (or colloidal oatmeal if you buy it pre-done and don't mind spending money for it that way). Sometimes I add it to kitchen DIY face masks (usually involving honey, avocado, etc) but this winter what I found myself doing for the itchy dry skin was to take a couple pinches of the oatmeal and dribble enough water in to be able to spread it. It's thinner than a paste but thick enough I can wipe it on my face and not drip off. Smear it on, and sit. When it's DRY, I have a soft toothbrush (has no rubber bristles) I use to brush gentle circles over the skin. Oatmeal has good anti-itch properties and has other supposed good things for your skin plus the brush helps exfoliate. I have tried just using the brush alone and while it does help remove some of the dry skin, this seems to work better. Maybe because the oatmeal dries on to the dead skin and then it all gets brushed off? Anyway. When most of it is off I just go ahead and wash my face with a wet washcloth and use my normal moisturizer. Okay... Now I'll finish the video, I just got sidetracked wanting to share before I forgot.

I got the Bye Bye Undereye because of you! I did get Light, though. I have skin a tiny bit darker than you and the Light works fine for me, imo, but I do really like a nice highlighted undereye :) I swatched the neutral/medium in store and it was darker than my skin so I passed. They really do need a shade right in the middle! And then like... at least 5 more shades on other parts of the spectrum.

since you asked, i just wanted to say that i really like your studio lighting! i know you mentioned that it makes you look paler, but it doesn't wash you out at all and i think it works well for your videos. (btw, what is the exact lighting situation/type of lighting if you don't mind me asking) i know that you have blended natural lighting with your studio lighting before, but idk if i've seen an actual makeup video like, first impressions and such, with the studio lighting being as prevalent over the natural light as it looks in this video, so idk how it's going to work with those type of videos, but i think with your zoom ins and such, it won't be too washed out. the lighting does blur imperfections (which in basically every case known to man, freaking amazing) but considering when you do those type of videos and your honesty and willingness to get us the nitty gritty of a product and how well they work at doing their job, i can see how it could get in the way of that, filming wise. again, idk how the lighting looks for those situations, i may have missed the vid(s), but i think if you haven't done so already, only time and experimentation will tell, and with you being our resident "makeup monkey" (lmao) i am more than happy to be your viewing/lighting opinion monkey. but i'm really liking this lighting situation you got going on in this video. also, i never realized how flattering dark lips are on you! i'm sure you've done a darker lip a million times and i overlooked it while watching, but this particular shade stood out so much and made me realize almost immediately. i just went to check the shade/brand so i wouldn't ask when it's clearly listed, but this only makes me so much more excited for your beauty bakerie review!!! love ya, cassie!!!!

Have you tried Becca's ultimate coverage cream concealer? It's similar to the bye bye undereye, but it comes in about 12 shades. I use the banana shade and it's amazing for my undereye. I use a very lite hand cause I'm sure it could get cakey , its very full coverage

laura geller makes a highlighter like that wet n wild one, it's super brightening and super sheeny but no shimmer or glitter in it. I've only swatched it on my hand, but I bet on the face it's lovely. emilynoel mentioned it in a recent video. and while it's more than wet n wild, it's not $95. hey, have you ever tried snail products? I have crusty bits, and also pick at them, and have cystic jawline acne, and I tried Nature Republic Snail Solution 90 Skin Booster. It's technically a "toner" but Korean toners arent' like American ones, and it's more like a light gel-ish moisturizer. It makes the scabby bits soft, but doesn't make you greasy at all. It just feels refreshing. My makeup has looked a lot better after using it, i haven't needed a primer, and it seems like my jawline acne is way better than it was before.

Hey Cassie! Since you're an oily type like me, you may want to look into sebhorreic dermatitis possibly causing the dry patches on your face. It requires moisturizing like normal dry patches, but with particular chemicals since it's a type of dermatitis caused by excess oil. Many people have it particularly in the corners around their nose their entire lives and never even know it's easily curable. Hope that helps!

actually kinda surprised you haven't used Torrid too much considering there's a thrifting art to it! They are crazy awesome! I just tried them recently and was pleasantly surprised. I almost walked out the first time I went in there because I saw the crazy high prices but the trick is learning the sales. Clearance is usually buy 1 get 2 free so you can end up getting 3 shirts for $40 or $50. regular items are buy 1 get 1 half off. But the items in clearance are actually really good and good selection but there is a lot of sifting like at a thrift store. The in person experience is SO MUCH better than even the website. What I liked is that normally when I go shopping, my heavy frame makes fewer clothes look good on me so I buy the clothes that just don't look BAD on me. At torrid I loved evey single one and every single item I bought looked crazy good on me! And don't even get me started on the fitting rooms! I hear the one at Mall of America is not quite like this but the one at the Southdale center in Edina has fans in it! They write your name on the your room, the attendants look after your every need, if you need something in a different size they'll grab it. And unlike say...Walmart... the light in the fitting rooms is super flattering! Other places I hate looking in the mirror because the lighting accentuates every acne scar, every silvery stretch mark. The lighting at the Torrid fitting room was just so much better! I realize I sound like a commercial or something but honestly it's more the shock of finding a pleasant clothing experience that doesn't leave me wanting to cry about my body afterwards.

Please try the lighter concealer, your eyes look like they are recovering from a black eye, you know that yellow heal from a bruise. I love you and I know this is offensive, sometimes girl friends need to be honest! If it's too light then mix!

Even if it did look yellow on me, I would still wear it. Sorry, but I'm not wasting that money. I need to get my money's worth. But, I think the colour is right for her. I feel like the shade above would be too light for her, of course I could never know for certain, only she will know. But I think it's just the shadow of her glasses that's making it look yellow :)

+DonutCare I think it may be because of the glasses ? Like they're kind of yellow if you look closely on her under eye :/

Cassie! I live in MN as well and have been to the H&M at the MOA recently and they do carry the makeup line! I don't think it is the entire line but there is some makeup next to the registers...where the jewelry used to be before they rearranged awhile ago.

Holy crap! Your eyes are beautiful! When you demo putting the products on the lighting just makes your green eyes look amazing. Have you heard of the Skincerity mask? I've used it for my acne (super duper like, cheeky and chin/neck/nose/forehead acne... I guess that's my whole face...) but I also had really dry, flaky and kinda crusty spots where the acne was really deep and troublesome. I think you would love it, it's really hydrating but it also is great for making pimples go away (idk if you have a pimple problem, but you talk about spots so I assumed that meant pimples) I actually made a video of you wanted to see it. It's not super great but I liked it a lot so I wanted to review it and demo it :) I'm really inspired by your channel. I want to start making videos again!
