Join me as I upgrade some thrift store (and Walmart) ornaments to make them shine in my earth-toned transitional home, and make leather ornaments out of a common thrift store item.

Well done scoring 6 of those pine cones...the decision to leave their finish as is must have been difficult! But they are really THAT good on their own. Very close to.the inspo photos. I actually found some unfinished wooden nutcracker ornaments on Amazon for an amazing price. I plan on doing a nutcracker garland similar o the bell stringed garland using nutcracker instead of bells in the patina gold finish.

Absolutely! If you sprinkle or lightly tap some on while they are tacky it should stick, then shake off the excess. I've seen it done with flour. So funny, I had the same thought about some highly pigmented loose eyeshadow myself.
