any idea on how to test run the full system for 1minute per zone using only the touch screen i.e without the phone app, so i can walk around and check out heads?
@Eyerusalem_3 жыл бұрын
I did not know there was an app till I watched your video, Thank you still having problems. Prior to finding out the app I set a time and day manually from the hunter controller. How do I delete the time/day from the controller? I want to use the app only.

You should be able to factory reset the settings. That might be best for your application.

Where was the explanation on what cycle soak actually does? What’s the difference between that and just cycle?
@ThriftyGarage2 жыл бұрын
Cycle soak has shorter run times with a wait period in between. It is best for hills. Pausing the irrigation and allowing the water to soak in prevents runoff.

Hi, I have a Hunter Pro-C, does the mobile app Hydrawise work for this model?
@ThriftyGarage4 жыл бұрын
Yes, works great! I install this controller and use the Hydrawise app for all my new sprinkler systems with my landscape company.

Thrifty Garage the model you have is Hunter Pro-HC, the model I have is Hunter Pro-C (no “H”). Will the app work for the model I have?
@ThriftyGarage4 жыл бұрын
Oh, my apologies. Yes, it does work but you would need to purchase a retrofit controller face plate. It's a fairly easy upgrade that a beginner level DIYer could perform.

Master Valve? In Run Time is where you actually see the valves. The numbers, 1, 2, 3 are the actual zones (solenoids). If your MV is connected to one of those, it will turn on or off all of the solenoids simultaneously.

Bad product, too complicated to program. Should not watch or read to program the time , day, and running time. And the touch screen too small for human 's fingers. Maybe it is designed for small bird ' s mouth
@ThriftyGarage4 жыл бұрын
I have found it is best to program from the app. I’ve got an upcoming video comparison between the new Rain Bird ESP-ME3 and the Hunter Pro-HC.

If you would just talk about what you are doing instead of all the things they can do it would be a lot better D

Nothing like b-hyve so ez to controll. This controller is garbage.
@ThriftyGarage3 жыл бұрын
I’m sure the b-hyve works great. But unfortunately many of the residential smart controllers lack the features required by contractors. They often limit programs and run times in an effort to simplify the use. When deciding on what smart controller to recommend our landscape clients we look for the following: customer/contractor integration, saved schedules and user input data, ability to cycle soak, establishment watering capabilities, flow sensor and master valve compatibility, etc… For my full time employment I own and operate a landscape company. Several years ago we tested several controllers and elected the ProHC as our primary controller for smart controllers. On occasion we recommend others if they seen like a better fit. To be honest I’ve never used the b-hyve but from our research it does not have a contractor or commercial grade wiring setup to use in our applications.
