I could see Lock Every doors become a Netflix's psychological horror film with the mess-up twist ending. Oh I just wanted to tell you that I just recently read the sequel/prequel to Interview with an Vampire, The Vampire Lestat. Probably you like Lestat's character a lot (he is freaking cute!!!) 😆 and the book is mostly focus on moral of gray with vampires. It filled in the missing gabs between Interview with An Vampire and The Queen of the Damned. I just wanted to let you know. 😇

@@Bookables Yeah I thought Lestat is very interesting character. 😊 I can't wait to read more of the series after I read The Queen of Damned.

Have you ever read Agatha Christie or any cozy mysteries? I like them because they have a mysterious aspect, but they aren’t so dark and twisted.

My Lovely Wife is great and one of my favorite thrillers of the past few years. I also really liked Lock Every Door. I'm someone who loved the ending, but I can see why someone wouldn't like it!

I read The Chalkman last week and finished Lock Every Door this morning. My Lovely Wife is still on my TBR. I totally agree with your thoughts on chalkman. The Last Time I Lied is my favorite Riley Sager book. This one was lacking something for me.

I’m so glad you loved My Lovely Wife! I ended up loving the ending for Lock Every Door but I totally know how you feel 💖. I also felt the same about The Chalk Man. It was easy to fly through but I was kinda meh toward the end!

I did guess Lock Every Door’s secret and way too early, but only because something made me think of an older movie (can’t say the name without immediate spoiler) and once that popped into my head, the rest fell into place. I liked Chalk Man because it was so unnerving all the way to the end.

I agree about the ending to Lock Every Door! I also felt a lot of character's stories and plot points were not wrapped up at all, the book just kind of stopped... I agree with you though - I love Riley Sager's writing and would read anything he writes!

As someone who knows transplant patients and once needed one, that book made perfect sense to me. Also she wasn't hired to be an organ donor...they viewed her life as being being less than because of her economic and social status. This practice something that STILL goes on today.

I just finished Lock Every Door and as a reader who tends to just flash through pages if it doesn't interest me. This one got me reading word by word. I've read a lot of thriller novels that had me guessing and being right, some just got me bored. But this book tho, it's so creepy that i had a hard time sleeping at one point. It also got me attached to this one character that it got me sad. :c

I tried reading the chalk man 3 times and just could not finish it. I think it's because in my mind I was expecting it to be sort of like a Slendman type of book. Not an actual chalk man drawn figure. lol.. So I couldn't get it out of my mind and just could not finish it which I was bummed about.

I just came to this video after I finished reading Lock Every Door. The ending alone knocked off 3 stars for me. It was just so underwhelming and it didn’t fly with me. I think the build up was great, but once it was revealed it went spiraling down. I will continue to read Riley Sager’s books because they’re pretty entertaining, unfortunately I just didn’t like this one compared to The Last Time I Lied. I’m glad I just checked it out from the library as opposed to buying it lol Have you read Rosemary’s Baby?

I haven't had much interest in My Lovely Wife but I have felt slightly intrigued because of all of the hype. I haven't read Riley Sager at all yet so I really need to try one of his books. I have The Last Time I Lied. I actually loved The Chalk Man and had the exact opposite opinion of her writing style. But I definitely get feeling disturbed by that whole bullying plot line. With that one, I did end up feeling a bit disappointed with the main plot twist.

The narration of Lock Every Door was pretty great. Honestly it kept me going, I was surprised with the first twist. It didn't seem like his style. The actual ending did seem more realism based, which his books have been pretty grounded in reality. Honestly, I preferred the first twist too. ✌️❤️

Chalk Man seems... very very It. Kids/ early terns in the 80’s revisiting an event as adults in modern day? That is a very distinct and large plot device to have in common... especially even down to the same time period.
