Glad you had one good read. Will check out One By One. Riley Sagar is very hit or mess for me. Didn't care for Lock Every Door, was a little too formulaic.

Thank you Ivy! I can see why - I just read my second Riley Sager [House Across the Lake] and hated it. I guess he is a bit hit or miss for me too. I was really disappointed after loving Lock Every Door too. Thanks for watching! 💜

I also really didn’t like the Silent Patient and I wasn’t sure why it was so hyped up. The best thrillers I’ve read are I’m Thinking of Ending Things and Night Film. Both aren’t necessarily mysteries or anything like that, but they are suspenseful and keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s two books that years later I still think about all the time!

I just couldn't do it... I'm surprised by how popular it is. Thank you for the recommendations! I'm really on a thriller kick. Will check them out 💜

I also love the isolation trope. I've read Ruth Ware books (not the one yet) and enjoyed them. They're unputdownable.

Hey Amy! I am new to your channel and really enjoying your videos so far. If you haven’t already read The Maid by Nita Prose, I really enjoyed that one and would recommend. Also, I loved The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware and Home Before Dark by Riley Sager. You may also like The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner. It has a historical feel to it as well and I loved it. Would love to see what you think about any of those.

I absolutely hated The Silent Patient but I did finish it. I have a mental health professional in my family and she was horrified when I described it. I’ve read One by One also and liked it. I haven’t read Riley Sager yet. I can’t decide.

I'm not surprised that she was horrified! I couldn't stand the way it talked about people.

I read a book that was recommended by books like whoa channel and it was called it’s a Jane Austen Italian and a pride and prejudice called pride and premonition and it was really fun it’s a Y a and they totally flipped the what the family is about and you got a it’s worth three I think you would enjoy it it alters the way women are perceived to a degree which is explained in an afterward and I wish the prelude had have been she would’ve done a prelude instead of an afterwards so if you read it read the afterward and you will understand what’s going on in terms of what the roles of women were and how with the perception and what’s really going on itYou didn’t joy it happy reading
