@mezykin4 ай бұрын
@@psychm4787 i mean for England specifically, Archer and Wood are the two quickest in the country surely. of course I don't mean they're up to Akhtar and Lee's level. I'm just saying it's not always been common to have 2 97mph+ bowlers bowling at both ends. We only got to see Lee and Tait bowl together in a few games and Akthar partnered Zahid for a few tests before Zahid's injury robbed him of his pace. i'm not gonna count Walsh and Ambrose, they were late 80s to early 90s miles per hour on average. I think it's an exciting prospect to have 2 furiously fast bowlers bowling from both ends.

@@psychm4787 Archer's just bowled throughout the Hundred and to say he's lots his pace is just rstraight out wrong. Sure it's white ball cricket and he uses his variation for that but when he sent down heat he regularly hit 94mph but obviouisly that's not the name of the game. Even in the recent T20 WC he bowled plenty of quick 90mph + deliveries. His elbow injuries have been operated on and he's been through over a year of rehabiliation . it's just down to the England team to gradually get him ready for test matches for next summer, thats the plan and then after that the Ashes.

How about lottery balls, in the 100 or ever franchise. Yes it’ll be unfair, yes it’ll be pot luck, you might get a brand new bell, you might get an old ball that reverses OR a ball that does nothing. BUT both sides would have similar balls to choose from, well choose a number and then the ball is revealed. Mad idea, mad concept, could be a bad idea, but could make the game more interesting in the shorter formats 🤷
