Sounds like Onitama where you make your own movement cards as you go.

In a few words: it's the Duke but you can chance the moves of the pieces.

Maybe the problem is that there is too much freedom in placing the pegs.

my game didnt come with the bag to put the pegs on! :(

6/10? That was a surprise to me. I think the others might have put this at a 7, at least. It reminds me of Onitama, and that King's game with the flipping tiles.

The Duke is the other game you were thinking of.

I think this game ITS GREAT. takes two minutes to teach the rules, its beautiful and really makes you use your itelligence. for me its finally a game that really feels like an good alternative to chess. my father is a great chess player, and I had a hard time convincing him to play my boardgames ultil I present it to him. the repleyability is infinite, like chess the game will become progressively more complex and decision more delicate, its a ever rising tention.

I typically really agree with Zee's reviews, but in this one he kind of contradicts himself on the replay ability. He said you can pretty easily figure the game out, but then went through several of the possible strategies, and how they can all backfire on you depending on your opponents strategy. I have been really interested in this one, and after watching your review I still am, so I really appreciate the review!

This looks extremely mind melting.

From what I have read in Senet Magazine, it feels like it has the freedom of chess

Like Zee said, this looks like a nicer looking reimplementation of Octi, an abstract strategy game where you would slide tiny arrows all around the pawns thus dictating that pawn's moving pattern. This one is basically the exact same game, just prettier.

Good expansion, would be worth it as a bundle if the base game wasn't so expensive for what you're getting

"...other abstracts like checkers."?! Does that count as an abstract strategy game? Maybe you meant to say "chess"?
@boardgameknight27913 жыл бұрын
@SeventySilk lol, yes, you are correct, it is definitely an abstract game - it's just really bad so I was making a joke. ;)

Those ugly, plastic square soap holders are instant turn-off to me. Not willing to touch this game or even look at it. Actually same feeling as Santorini, cubic plastic thingies I just hate them and don't even want to play. Not a fan of abstract games but I like Shobu or Yinsh. This one though is a hard pass.
