After all the matority of sources cité "The Céline Dion Machine" which leads one to believe it was her "people" and not Céline personaliy. I am neutral. In her own right, Céline is a highly accomplished vocalist. It is tragic that she has lost her voice due to a rare neurological disorder. It must be hell for Céline who has devoted so much of her life to singing Fom my perspective these singers are totally unique. More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 2 languages natively (french, italian), and 2 others fluently (english, spanish), can speak a bit of dutch (and sicilian), and understand quite well russian and portuguese. She has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for 200+ songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. She often co-composes the music, and is at the source of the melodic line. • she acts and performs on stage as nobody else, she colors and reveals the meaning of every single word in the songs, and her ability to emote, to draw you in is second to none • she is the sweetest soul on earth, very humble, down to earth and benevolent. She likes to meet others, and her fans are always pleasantly surprised when this happens. A quick background on her and her career: She is belgian, her father is flemish and grand mother on father side is dutch, but she also has italian roots (her mother is from sicilia) and American roots ( the father of her mother is from Detroit). She had been raised in Sicilia first for 7 years then in Belgium so she speaks both italian and french as native languages. She has been classically trained on vocal, piano and songs composition for 10 years ( from 8 to 18) in the Brussels Royal Conservatory. She is still having vocal lessons and training several times a week today. She only moved away from opera to pop because she is first and foremost a songwriter. After her Eurovision participation in 1988 (4th), she really started her career in Canada in the early 90s, more precisely in Quebec, the french-speaking part of Canada. She had been living for years in Montreal and has also Canadian citizenship. She moved to Sicilia end of 2022. She became very famous in Quebec and then conquered France in 1996/1997 (she topped charts there and some of her songs such as "Je t'aime" or "Tout" became classics of the french music). In 2000, she was about to penetrate the US Market, with a lot of media initial interest. Her first english song (I will love again), a pop dance song, stayed number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart for 58 weeks in a row and number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her Album ("Lara Fabian") was about to become a massive hit, and the concert "From Lara With Love" was recorded to be broadcasted everywhere in the US. This concert is legendary, packed with masterpieces (covered by many great vocalists later on). But a dispute with Sony on artistry directions, and the will from Celine Dion's staff to block her progress in the US, completely broke this plan. She thus refocused back on Europe and made huge success there, extending her reach to Eastern Europe and Central Asia where she became an absolute superstar through her collaboration with Igor Krutoy during several years. She is absolutely massive in Russia for instance. She is also a star in Brazil as her song "Love By Grace", used as the soundtrack for a very famous soap opera, topped the charts for months and become a recurrent in the local singing contests since then. Many of her songs became classics and were covered by the other singing legends: Barbra Streisand, Shirley Bassey, Josh Groban (they are friends and he told she is a role model for him), Linda Eder, … With her success in Europe, Brazil and part of Asia, she is the inspiration of the new generation of vocalists: most of them are coming from there. Thru their covers of Lara Fabian songs, USA and many other countries are now rediscovering her. She is Dimash's idol: I’ve read somewhere that, when he was a child, he was listening her songs every night to get asleep. He covered many of her songs, most of these were composed by Igor Krutoy and written by by Lara. Out of my mind I can list: ○ Adagio (She wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Mademoiselle Hyde (she wrote it and is the original performer), ○ Love of Tired Swans (she wrote the song in French under the title "Je t'aime encore" and was the original performer of the french then the russian versions, Dimash covered the russian version) ○ Ascolta La Voce / Vocalize (this was a pure vocalization and she was the original performer, then lyrics were added for Dimash and it was rebranded as "Know") She also wrote the lyrics of Dimash's song "Your Love". And she covered "Love is like a dream" before him (song from Igor Krutoy originally performed by Alla Pugacheva). Finally, they also performed "Ti Amo Cosi" together, in trio with Aida Garafulina: this is a song that she performed originally with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Sumi Jo then again later with Dmitri and Alina Yarovaya, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. Dimash is now also working with Igor Krutoy: Igor and Dimash connected after his Adagio cover, also endorsed by Lara. Igor came back from retirement and composed severals songs for him after it. Many other top vocalists from the current generation covered her songs, some have Lara as a role model and big inspiration: ○ Floor Jansen (Adagio), ○ Polina Gagarina (Adagio, Je t’aime), ○ Diana Ankudinova (Tomorrow is a lie), ○ Morissette Amon (Broken Vow), ○ Gabriel Henrique (Love by Grace), ○ Cakra Khan (Broken Vow), ○ Katrina Velarde (Broken Vow), ○ Regine Velasquez (Broken Vow), ○ Dmitri Hvorostovsky (Adagio), ○ Giulia Falcone (Adagio, Caruso, Je suis malade, Je t'aime), ○ Forestella (Je suis Malade), ○ Almira (from 4th Impact band) (Broken Vow), ○ Gigi de Lana (Broken Vow) ○ Julie Anne san Jose (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Rimar ( Adagio, Broken Vow, Know), ○ Il Divo (Adagio) ○ Daria Bentsa (I guess I loved you), ○ Sarah Geronimo (Broken Vow) ○ Laura Bretan ( Adagio, Caruso), ○ Jackie Evancho (Je t’aime, Caruso and Broken Vow, BV rewritten as « Imaginer » by Lara for Jackie), ○ Amir (Je t’aime), ○ Vitas (Adagio), ○ Anastasia Luna (Adagio), ○ Jeck (Je T’Aime), ○ Evgenia Fanfara (Adagio), ○ Anna Eriksson (Je suis malade), ○ Choi Sung Hoon (Je suis malade), ○ Soprano Turetsky band (Adagio) ○ Majda Roumi (Adagio), ○ Harrison Craig (Broken Vow), ○ Petra Berger (Adagio, Broken Vow), ○ Katerina Maslova (Je t’aime, I guess I loved you) ○ Sevara Nazarkhan (Je t’aime) ○ .... NB: Lara did cover Caruso , Je suis malade, and Love by grace, these are not her originals, but I mention these here as the related artists were attracted to cover it again after listening to Lara’s version. Today, Lara still has an amazing voice and tone and can still reach the 5th octave with resonance ; she still offers these emotive renditions that are her unique signature. In June 2022, she kicked off a WW tour and stunned her fans once again with 5 magical concerts in Canada. She completed the europe part in September/October and I attended a concert from this tour. It was packed and she was again spectacular. On April, May, June 2023 she had again some wonderful concerts in Tbilissi, Georgia, then in Ouzbekhistan, Kazakhstan, Romania. She is about to release a new album and kick off another tour that will visit eastern europe in april 2024 (Czech Republic, Moldavia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkiye), then several locations in Canada in june 2024 and, after some rest and a few TV Shows, France in 2025. The first song of the new album (titled "Ta Peine" - Your Sorrow) was released late January 2024 and is a success in France. Sorry if I was long, but I hope this gives some context on Lara.

In response to the negative comments about using the word "flaws" in a passing moment of describing Lara's vocal delivery. Please understand that this was intended as a layman term for "conversational tone," which is subtle imbalances that create a realism to the human voice instead of being mechanically "perfect" as if it were sung by a computer. This is NOT a negative implication - just the opposite in fact!!! Great performing artists know how to balance their subconscious skill sets/behaviors (muscle control) while allowing their unconscious mind (limbic system) swim with the melody and meaning behind the music. Lara is brilliant at this... no auto-tune, no post production, no compromise... just perfectly executed with a living instrument.

@@KitaBelle23 unfortunately I have to agree with the comment about angry comments, I don’t understand how anyone could possibly watch that reaction and derive anything other than extremely positive reactions. I have watched So many of Richard and Johnny’s reactions and in several Richard has talked about the mind and performance:subconscious, conscious and then emotional and he specifically stated that when it came time to the performance, you can throw the “rules” out and you bring in the emotion. Hypersensitivity is commonplace in apparently not only Dimash but also Lara reactions. I do hope that they ignore the comments because they are knowledgeable professionals and if, heaven forbid, they say anything that isn’t of the utmost praise, in any language including Goggle Translate, burning at the stake may be necessary. Just kidding guys 😂, my NY sarcasm is oozing out.

Lara is the best at riding the fine lines between singing and speaking, singing and crying. And to be honest, I am not interested in Dimash at all: from what I have heard from him, he seems to show off with his vocal range all the time and by doing so, he misses the point of singing: technique, control, and presentation in a FLOW! Lara is a masterclass in all of that. And Dimash, well.....he is like one of those clueless dudes who think size (range) matters above everything! LOL

Lara is a truly great singer and this is one of her best performances. In fact her connection with Dimash is wider than her influence on him and his admiration for her. One of Dimash's most iconic and impassioned performances is the one he gave of her original song "Adagio" on the 2018 competition _Singer_ ; and just as Igor Krutoy has composed songs for Dimash so too has be composed songs for her. Among them is "Tomorrow is a Lie," for which he composed the music and she wrote the lyrics. That song also makes for a connection with Diana Ankudinova. Igor himself accompanied her when, still only 14, she performed the song in the final of 2018 _You are Super_ . Without making any comparative evaluation with Lara's own performances of the song, suffice it to say that whereas Lara was happy to allow Dimash to continue to perform "Adagio," upon hearing Diana's performance she immediately bought the full rights to "Tomorrow is a Lie" from Igor, and Diana has never performed the song again. Might I suggest that the one performance of the song that Diana has been allowed to give might be worth reacting to?🙂

You can obviously see her complete emersion into her character and performance - again, sound familiar? She is a master!! Igor and Lara worked together on quite a few songs. You should see Igor's birthday party where he has his 3 favorite singers: Lara Fabian, Dimash, and Aida Garufulini singing the song he initially composed w/Lara Fabian in mind called Ti Amo cosi. When Lara Fabian starts to sing, you will see such a large smile on Igor's face. He expresses happiness with this trio. In this show, I believe it's the 4th time Lara has sung it. She can sing both female parts. In this version, I believe Lara took the lower soprano because (1) it allowed Aida to shine and (2) it was probably a more comfortable range for Aida to sing in. You guys will love it!

As others have mentioned, Dimash and Lara sing together, (along with another singer named Aida), on "Ti Amo Cosi," composed and accompanied by Igor Krutoy. Lara and Igor also wrote a song for Dimash called "Your Love." It's the performance where he's wearing a bright red suit in Moscow in 2020. Lara also sang/recorded "Mademoiselle Hyde" and "Adagio" which Dimash covered, as well as a vocalized song called "Know," which Dimash did his own version of. He does a version with lyrics, and one without. The vocalized version from his Kyiv concert is amazing. There's also a MV with the lyrics. You might want to watch the Kyiv performance and the MV at the same time.

Great reaction guys. So glad u came across Lara. One reason u might not heard about Lara is that she did release an english album and did a try at breaaking through in the USA, but the stories says the one reason she gave that up was that she didn´e want to conform to the USA record companies demand on her looks, weight and the culture in general. Also some say that the record company put all their money and effort to promote and help Celine Dion make it even bigger.

Why do so many people feel it's okay to insult a group, as long as that group is Americans? So tired of it. Some people probably do live in a bubble; I'm not one of them. Does everyone where you live listen to Lara? How informed are you about the music scene in Asia? Do you follow any sports teams that are not from your country? I'd honestly be curious to know.

French here... And guess what ? Igor has been a great friend of Lara Fabian for years. Dimash was able to sing with Lara for the first time during Igor Krutoy's ice skating concert. If memory serves me correctly it was the closing song of the event, they sang in trio with Aïda, Dimash and Lara. For the record, Lara was sick and had a very sore throat (borderline speechless). During rehearsals (a few hours before the show) she saw Dimash and Igor, she didn't know if she could sing in the evening and was waiting until the last moment to get the final big treatment (there is a short video on YT on this subject)... To see Dimash perform with one of his idols, at this level of perfection, it was dazzling and at the same time comforting to see him live one of his biggest dreams : singing with Lara Fabian. Bravo ! Please react to other song of Lara Fabian like : Je t'aime, Tu es mon autre (duet with Maurane) and of course "Tout". Thanks a lot.

Loved this reaction! I’ve always loved her timbre, her irréprochable technique, her performance skills that are just so perfect. And I love when voice coaches react cuz I like to see if they hear and see all the technical and performative amazingness that is going behind her singing. Especially for non-francophone reactors. I’ve been living in France for 26 years (originally from the states) so I’ve known who Lara is for… 25 of those years! Always great to see others discover her awesomeness.

It is truly staggering to hear anyone involved in singing or voice production, and being over 30, saying they'd never heard of this Canadian/Belgian chanteuse. For 25 yrs, Mdm Fabian has been viewed by female professional singers as among the most influencial and expressive of artistes singing in Spanish, Flemish, French, Italian, or English. She has recorded songs in each of 13 languages, and has won over 20 international awards from six countries.

She's just (expletive) incredible on this song. She came up here (QC) in the same time as Celine, everybody here made fun of both of them, they attacked Celine for forging into the world market and they laughed at Lara for being really dramatic, she would cry in interviews a lot lol. There was some truth to all that but omg the talent and dedication, both of them. Celine lost her voice at one point (around when Unison was released) because she was singing off her throat, they (her with Rene her manager and husband) went whole hog into lessons to use her voice to its full capacity but safely, she became a vocal acrobat basically. With Lara, she SO open in the back her sound gets absolutely huge and at the same time she can decrescendo like nobody's business. My voice breaks up if I'm trying to sing too pianissimo! I marvel at this woman. Thank you for checking this song out, I hope it's the version I think it is and that you let it play to the very end when she "snaps out if it". 💜
