Yeah, I don't know what changed at GW, but they seem to be a lot more protective about their IP now, at least towards CA. The hag thing and the Nuln Ironsights last minute rework clearly shows that CA has a bunch of ideas GW is just straight up shooting down. I don't know if Cathy would have even happened in 2024.

@@willfrancescofinislayers are fun to use in his army and he has multiple amazing enemies to fight (skaven, norsca, chaos, orcs, chaos dwarfs ETC.) his adventures also mean you can fight factions you wouldn’t even encounter in your play throughs like high elves. I don’t like horde factions but Malala I just does it…and grapeshot…love grapeshot…

The "bad people" are still in charge, people need to demand resignations if they want this positive change to continue. Adam Freeman (community manager) and the CEO were both the people who released the vast majority of the anti-consumer/bad-PR replies during last year's controversy, until they're gone nothing will change culturally and therefore nothing will change for the positive in the long-term. I've met transplants from 3rd world countries with better typing skills than their fucking Community Manager. He also functions as a pseudo horde like vampire coast which incentivizes you to venture into the chaos wastes around you and go ham. He also has a good variety of enemies to fight from skaven to throgg to daemons. He also has a ton of allies nearby in kislev and their ilk to trade with. The new grudge mechanic age of reckoning is also like a greenskin waagh which is really fun. My only criticism is that his campaign may be a bit easy (playing on hard hard btw)

Sadly they said that future dlc's are gonna be smaller but cheeper. Thing is that if dlc is smaller with not much lower price its gonna end up worse then it is. I mean just few dollars less end it would be perdect. Something like 6$ per lord in ToD style. Plus the leaks from legend about game lifespan ends in 2 years with 5 dlc max. Leaks about content ware thruth so there might be something in it. Well we see I guess.

I haven't touched Warhammer 3 since last summer. I love this game to death, but I currently am unable to play ANY games until I finish a major project. I'm glad to see that this DLC is not only doing well but that it was well-made. At the end of the day, we are customers, not braindead consumers, so it's good to see this community stick up for itself and demand high-quality content. I would love for this game to keep going and to receive more well-made DLC's. When my project finishes this summer, the first thing I plan on doing is playing as Nurgle and then Skarbrand with the Nemesis Crown. Thank you, Nathan, for putting out so many videos regarding this DLC and game. Very much look forward to the next DLC speculation video and any mods you'd like to cover. Although I can't play, I saw Norsca just received a huge overhaul mod that changes many of the lords.

This dlc is warhammer 2 quality, I LOVE IT, the SMALL DETAILS ARE AMAZING, like Elspeth Death Rose horse (they could have put a normal warhorse, but they took care in detail), the story, the UI of the mechanics, the mechanics istelfs, the small details of baltzhazar and karl, new golden order wizard, the FLC, the dlc seling format, the tematic of the units that MAKE SENS (Elspeth got both knight with swrod and shield and gunners as Nuln should be), Thamurakn death animation, they did the true form of the maggot lord only for the death animation, detalis like this make the game AMAZING. And many many more, keep it up CA, this is sooo gooddd.

All it took was ONE good patch cycle to completely change your mind regarding a company that made it VERY CLEAR how little they respect their customer base... This is how CA has managed to hang on after all these years. They just have to say they're sorry and release a unit that most people like in their next DLC pack for you people to be satisfied? Imagine if you people just let CA die and inevitably be replaced by a smaller business run by former-CA vets who actually give a fuck. Imagine how much better the content would be if it was made by a passionate, unshackled team with a little less money but WAY less demand/dead weight in the form of management to pay off every quarter. But no, it's fine, keep wasting your money to feed Adam Freeman the nepo baby and CA's sociopathic CEO who hates the playerbase. That's fine. The new content looks excellent, but this is like seeing a beautiful flower sprouting out of a pile of shit. After hearing so much awesome stuff about the Dwarf rework, I got extremely disappointed with the Age of Reckoning mechanic. It's turned Dwarf into an Always-on-the-offensive-or-get-debuffs faction, which I absolutely hate.

Yeah, that's turned out really bad. Don't even mind it being hard to get the really high end stuff, but the debuffs are just vicious enough to suck the fun out of the game. Currently on turn 25 in a Malakai run, and I'm in line for my 2nd 'Elgi' debuff AoR in a row, because the fighting I'm doing just isn't giving me enough grudges.

@@efffvss I feel its easily tunable though, they just need to make the numbers respond to how you did the previous time. The grudge system should reward dwarves for going on the offensive, but not continually punish them for turtling unless there are truly horrible slights going unavenged.

Good that we're already talking about hotfixes... The Grudge system really needs one. I specifically tried not to open up the map too much so I don't get insane amounts of grudges on my age of reckoning, in my first campaign as Malakai and I am currently in turn 30 having to fill 7800 grudges while all the grudges I can see on the map combined add up to 3200. I killed Astragoth with a full stack twice in this age of reckoning and got... 60 grudges from it. Having to go 10 turns with -25 growth and -3 Control when I already have "very hard" control penalties is a death sentence, especially since rebellion armies for some reason will not get any grudges. I feel like the only way to effectively play with this system is to bait enemies into attacking your settlements so they rack up grudges and then hunting down that army, and then you need to pray that the army isn't skaven and wont just run away for 10 turns while 3 other armies start invading your territory again.

Definitely happy with this DLC. Only real complaint is Franz didn't get his armor added as an item and the imperial dragon as a mount. Also, on a side note, cannons with grapeshot are Armstrong Guns level broken, and it is glorious.

The thing I loved most with this patch was the stuff they added to karl franz and other base game factions. If they could do 1v1 lords with small updates to base game functions i would love that. As example a dark elf vs high elf dlc with added content to each race leader(Tyrion and Malekith )

The most importent stuff is, don't go to easy on them now. Yes ToD looks good. Some bugs, but the overall quality looks like its going in the right direction. But don't start to let loose now guys. When the fanbase is wavering, CA will fall to the same bad habbits, before you can say "Summon the... " Keep beeing critical, don't buy anything for the sake of buying, Check the quality, give feedback, and we will maybe have the content we all want.

Really happy for the devs, no one wants to make a bad game/DLC and it's pretty clear in hindsight they were hamstrung by very limited resources for SoC which I'm sure was a rough time. A lot was riding on ToD and seeing them knock it out of the park (and be rewarded with immediate and significant success) has me very optimistic about the road ahead.

I want the very last DLC to be naval. Each faction could have a troop transport, light ship, medium ship and a heavy ship and for a few factions like the Dark Elves a special ship.

The engine being used comes straight from Rome 2 so it's already built into the game. Just has to be something CA would want to try. That's why I said last. I'm glad to see the game doing well. and honestly as a big fan of the Throne of Chaos book, i'm excited for Tamurkhan. If we're going to get more content below is MY wish list in order of my personal preferences. - a Vampire Counts rework - e.g. A DLC in the same vain as Champions of Chaos to bring in a better distinction and feel for the bloodlines + Neferrata, Zacharias, and Dieter Helsnicht (I'm still upset we didn't get him in game 1) - Ind & Khuresh - I'd love to see them filled in as race packs but I'll settle for just being opened up. - Ogers - they need help/a rework to their mechanics as they play terribly at the moment. and they still NEED a number of their units, e.g., (Bruisers, Thundertusks, Yhettes) - Thanquol and Boneripper - at this point could easily just be a FLC with one of the DLCS as I think the Skaven roster is finished. - Dogs of War - it would be great if the border princes and Araby areas have more of a feel/flavour to them, so we could get units like the Birdmen of Catrazza, Flying Carpets and Camel Riders. Hell here you could add in Halflings too. - Boris Todbringer/ The Red Duke - these need to added in as a playable characters. Boris could just be an FLC or part of a Cult of Ulric update to the Empire and The Red Duke could be an FLC for the Vampire rework. - The Monkey King - I have no doubt he's coming very soon but it needs to be re-stated (there would be some nice overlap with a Ind & Khuresh DLC for this though)

It feels tremendous to be sharing in the good vibes and thus, exploring more of what the game has to offer--I imagine this DLC did something right if it motivated me to: - play Ku'gath for the 1st time today - look forward to trying out two of the Lords introduced--for comparison, I still have yet to try out any of the SoC or Chorf factions, despite now owning all of the DLC other than Elspeth - dig into the endless Workshop chasm even more than I already have (installing Tribes of the North 5.0 as we speak)

Its not just a appologise tour and option tho, we also have to remind us selfs that these are 3 very POPULAR Factions in the playerbase and even more so in Warhammer fanbase. This can ofc have an impact on sales/players. I like to think tho its a combination of that and the fact ToD is more fleshed out then SoC with better reworks, mechanics aso... Having a blast sofar

I don’t ask for much CA just Ind, Nippon, Khuresh, Araby, Dogs of War, Norsca rework, realms of chaos added to immortal empires, BORIS and the white wolves, lizard men rework, monkey king, vampire rework and missing units, etc, etc. See not that much

Honestly if we got 6 DLCs from THIS point on of 3 lords each I think this could work. At a stretch you could finish Chaos in 2 DLCs, 1 for indi, 1 for nippon, 1 for whatever factions are hurting most near the end followed by the end times DLC with Nagash and some other end times relevant lord and that 1 skaven I can't remember the name of they promised.

I did really like this DLC's breaking of the 3 lore into seperate purchases (and something I won't mind retroactively with Shadows of Change as only Kislev interests me) I really hope to see this going foward in future DLC's

Give it a few more weeks and it'll be even better, many of us mod folks won't get to play it until the playlist is up and running. Me personally, I don't play without SFO, and the other mods that need patching after SFO is up to date. Other games are up now that have my interest, like mannor lords and the upcoming stellaris update, that will keep us busy until our W3 experience is recombobulated.

I wish the pack was only 20$ but the change in overall model is nice since it lets you pick and choose what you actually want, rather than having to buy all of them together. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this dlc.

Southern Realm factions would be cool as a later DLC (Estalia, Tilea, and Dogs of War) with Dogs of War being a horde faction for the Order side.

The Tarmukhan campaign was so much fun, definitely recommend it. Just starting the Elspeth campaign and really want to try the new Gelt campaign.

Empire and Dawi powercreep brought people back. Good for the game for sure, however unforgivable that Empire got cataclysm spells before the real magic power factions.

This one does spark joy. Seeing all the content that was being promised for ToD, I was pretty optimistic about how good it was going to be, but my final worry was that CA had already missed their chance to win back the crowd. That doesn't seem to have been the case. This is really good news.

Epidemius is fun as fuck. I started his campaign because I’m waiting for the inevitable bug fix patch before I start one of the main 3. I just didn’t expect to have that much fun with him. Nurgle is in a really good spot, but it’s really hard to get going early if you don’t have the infections for a recruitment building. Would be nice if we could recruit at least nurglings without any building.

I was checking WF list of unit Champions to see which one will get recycled for DLC, especilly for VC. Honestly, the problem with Neferata is that she works better as FLC because Lamian had almost no units. I mean, when recycling champions for new units, you could build rosters for both Strigoi and Necrarch/Necromancers Wights DLCs eveb if CA reuturned back to "3 new units perfaction" If Neferata still gets 5 new units of what's left, I could see > Bloodseeker Palanquin/coven throne >SPIRIT HOSTS >Giant Bats (on tabletop there are Bat swarm which in game are called Fel Bats, on tabletop Fel bats were unit of 3 models of giant bats) >Abyssal Terrors (manticore size monster and mount) this leaves place for one recycled champion unit >Grave Seneschals probably an elite grave guard with halberds >Crypt Ghasts stronger crypt ghoules (they would be better for Strigoi DLC roster with roided up Vargoyles and Crypt Haunters) >Kastellans even more elite blood knihgts or just, BK flying Hellsteeds Champions are generally a gold mine of new units for other factions (most of them already have 1 or 2, CA was not really cheaky about it and it's obvious that GW wont let them touch any AOS stuff for faction that exists in both settings)

Slaanesh is the only Faction that can have a DLC style faction like the others in ToD and SoC DLC. 1 LL ,1 LH ,1 GL ,1 GH , Boobsnakes , Demonets on Boobsnakes, Slaangor , Basilisk and 1 other unit that can be inspired by a book like Storm of Chaos. @thegreatbookofgrudges Nathan can you talk about?

Blessing of Nurgle, Sigmar, and the Ancestor Gods upon Warhammer 3! Thrones of Decay summoned players like the Elector Counts! Let this be the beginning of a new era of Warhammer 3 and hopefully this will carry on to future DLCs.

I'm mostly concerned with Arbaal, Dechala and a dark elf rework (maybe putting their slave mechanics closer to chaos dwarves), red duke playable, being added. Oh and the big bad Nagash of course.

I think this is such an awesome dlc & update! I'm really looking forward to what they'll do next. Really hoping for Norsca, Slaanesh, Khorne, and Orge Kingdoms updates (as I feel they are lacking in lord selection and whatnot). I am also a huge undead fan, so I am REALLY hoping they do a 4-lord dlc style for VC with the four lords being the four missing bloodlines. We shall see, and I'm really excited to see what is next, but those are my biggest hopes for updates/dlcs coming up.

I would like if they finish 3 faction circle with 2 more dlc-s. First Slaanesh, High and Dark elves. High elves could get sea patrol things, Dark Elves are missing some units and monsters for Beastmasters (and those monsters could be added to some factions) and Slaanesh could get pleasureseekers, Anointed (who could be added to Morathi)... And then as second DLC Khorne, Norse and Ogres since in my opinion those two factions are in the biggest need of rework now, and Slaanesh is more connected to the elves so that's why I would do it like this. If for no other reason than to finish the circle of monogod DLC-s. After that I wouldn't mind 2 LL DLC-s.

Started a game as Kislev to see how they feel with Malacai to the north and Ungrim securing the eastern flank. Ungrim actually managed to kick out Chorfs out of the chaos wastes ( thanks to me ordering them where to go) but Malacai is fighting chorfs, Wulfrik, Daniel and Epidemius so bot Malacai is only barely holding ground. The Empire isn't doing much better, they repelled Wulfrik but Vlad is still ripping them apart and defeated Elspeth. I'm fighting a 3 way war with Vlad, chorfs and the demon invasion from the north. They landed like 4 armies in Malacai's territory and B-line, March stance'd into Kislev mainlands. I dread the next few turns where I left it. So many cities are about to get nuked off the map lol
