It's amazing how many folks tell car owners that the car has to go to a shop or the dealership for the relearn procedure at a cost of $100 to 150 and even more at the dealership. Of course other car makers most likely you will have to do the repair shop relearn but not the chevrolet impala. Thanks guys great video!

Very nice video. My '05 Impala has had major recent breakdowns. Transmission replaced, MAF, TPS, 2 ICV replacements, throttle body, intake cleaning, tune up, etc. The idle has been acting up for a while, very low to very high. I thought the transmission would fix a lot but it was still a problem and running rough. Finally I learned ignition coils are often the culprit for this. I finally replaced all three today and it's smoother than it's ever been. Amazing. It's been expensive and a lot of work, but gained a lot of know how.

There seems to be more of a system problem or are the sensors poorly made and prone to malfunction? Help, we can't afford any more repair costs.

I drove it on the highway and around town a couple of times and I feel like it's slowly normalizing. Will the relearn process take a couple of days or a week at this point? Also old throttle body was pretty dirty when it was removed. Have had Service Stabilitrak, Engine Power Reduced light for a long time. When I took it to OReillys or AutoZone for codes check, they got no codes. So they can't clear it. Firestone told us it was a wheel hub, so we replaced that. The Engine Power Reduced light stopped, but now Service Brake Assist is on. Stabilitrak light never stopped. We have replaced the gas pedal and that sensor, and the throttle body and that sensor. Air filter. Disconnected the battery hoping that would clear the codes that don't show up to the OBD 2. I am at a loss, but the mechanics and dealers around here are outright thieves that will charge hundreds for a diagnostic and a separate labor charge for just reading the codes, not even to touch it. If they actually have to touch it, charges can clear thousands easily.
