In the video I review the 2022 Iron 883 XL883N. This bike has been around in this form for a LONG time. However after this year it's very possible it won't be around any longer.
If you're interested in this bike it is available at the time of this video going up.

I've had ton of bikes during my 26 years of riding (German , italian , Japanese ) but my little iron 883 is by far my favourite . Loud , obnoxious , slow , ridiculously basic , rattles your teeth to the roots .... perfect !! . Mine is so customised now that it is virtually unrecognisable . Hours of fun in the shed as well as on the road. LUUUURVVV MY SPORTY !

You are spot on! My son bought a 2020 883, his first bike ever. Over the two years, we’ve done some upgrades: 1200 kit, Vance and Hines slip ons, Corbin seat, Highboy handle bars, smoked led signals, and a few other small cosmetic changes. He absolutely loves the ride and and the look. Looks classic, and he gets a lot of positive comments on look and sound. Great first bike, mine was a 1979 Kawasaki 175! Love your channel, one of the best out there!

I hope Harley grandfathers the evo and keep it as their entry level beginner machines. These are the last of the true Harley engines.

I will be sad to see the iconic sportsters go. The 883 iron and iron 1200 are beautiful bikes IMO. Going to try and convince the wife to get an 883 this summer. But ultimately it is her choice. Still, the bare bones rawness the iron 883 achieves is what makes me love Harleys. There is no substitute for mental health IMO than riding motorcycles. Especially the classic air cooled harley-davidsons.

As a 31 year old in Germany who is saving up to get a licence (over here around the 1000€ mark), riding gear and downpayment, it makes me very sad to not have the Iron 883 in the catalogue. The entry level bikes that we have available are the Softail Standard or the Street Bob, which are not entry bikes for their price and for their huge amount of power for a beginner. If I lived in the U.S. I would have been sleeping outside an H-D dealership to get grabs on their first 2022 883 Iron. I’ll have to go into the second-hand market, or see whether my closest H-D dealerships have a pre-owned certified Iron, but I would love to get it brand spanking new, because this model is a keeper even as a second bike down the road when I upgrade to a touring model.

Respected folks in the industry have stated in opinion(?) the sportster stock header pipes have a hard time being replaced for performance. They are some of the best headers in the game. All that's really needed is a set of slip-ons. And an intake and tuner. But as far as a full system, slip-ons are less expensive for the most part. And just as good.🤪

T-Bl, thanks for visually explaining the digital side of the single gauge! Now, with a greater sense of confidence and comfortability, I can straddle the 883 and not feel like a bungling idiot because I can't figure out the gauge. Upgrades, for me, would be: 1. The seat 2. The handle bars 3. The wind shield 4. The custom paint color on it! 5. The engine guards No motor "pimping" (hot rod performance enhancements) This video, I've been waiting for a while to hear about the functions of the one gauge. Doug🏍️🤓👍⭐⭐⭐ No exhaust pipe changes

Hey...nice to see your love for this 883...i got myself a 2014 Iron with 14000km on the odo an year ago....i put 2000km ...i just want to know if it's normal for the bike to get noisy after crawling in our Indian City traffic....but everything works smoothly...just a few new clicking noises... I think on the left side...and buying used how can we be sure of the odometer readings...can they be adjusted to show lower readings

Such a huge mistake to drop the traditional sportster. They have no entry level bike then with traditional Harley feel and sound. The revolution engine is fine, but it doesn’t have the Harley sound or feel. If they went to that engine for all their bikes I might as well go with Honda.

Being that this is almost certainly the last year and there’s a big price increase compared to 2020 I feel like this should at least have an LED headlight. Same goes for the 48. If anything they should do a special edition version of this bike. Similar to the 48 special edition they released in Japan which is a numbered bike with special add ons. I just want to see what was my first bike back in 2020 go out with a bang!

You'll probably fit just fine- best bet is go to the dealer, sit on one and decide for yourself. If you don't fit, there are few bikes that have as many factory and aftermarket options to make sure you do. Fwiw I bought an Evo 883 the first year they came out (1986). Back then I was 245 and 6' .... the stock setup fit me fine. Still miss the bike and it was bit more affordable back then, $3995, they couldn't keep them on the floor.

If you’ve never ridden a bike before I definitely wouldn’t start with the Lowrider S. I’d look at the 883 Iron and the Sportster48. Based on power, weight and seat height these options will be good for you. If you’re taller or NEED. 6 speed transmission look at the Softail standard. All of these will also be a lot cheaper.

Needs chrome exhaust, chrome air cleaner, chrome sidecovers, chrome upper belt guard, chrome bars, chrome mirrors, chrome turn signals, chrome headlight housing, silver painted wheels and fork lowers, and a few other shiny parts. I'd probably even put a chrome swing arm on it. Get rid of the reflectors. ThunderMax tuner with wide band O2 sensors is the only way to go. The only real reason to buy a Sportster is the Harley shake and the sound. Without that, you are better off going Japanese.

My only problem with the sportster is that it looks to small on me. Im 5’11”. Real talk, i wish i was born 5’ 9”. Because then i would buy a sporter and say f everyone else. Because sporters actually do look better then all the big Harleys . Its just thete to small for dudes 5’11”. I remember years ago i tweeted harley telling rhem to make a sporter that was like on a bigger frame for taller riders. I remember i gave them the concept of like how when you go to a fancy bicycle shop and you want to buy a mountain bike, and they make that mountain bike in like 5 different sizes. So you can find the perfect size for you the customer. All 5 sizes look the exact same except the frame is bigger or smaller. And i told Harley that for there sportster line only, make like the regular size they been making, and then make one thats one size bigger. Meaning they frame is longer and maybe taller. So that it looks more in proportion for dudes 5’11”. Because to me the normal sportsters are basically made PERFECT and look good on people who are 5’9” at the tallest and anyone that size and smaller. But if they built a version on a bigger longer at least frame. For dudes 5’ll” , of that would be game changer. I would not care if the bigger frame meant there would be empty open spaces like between the engine and the frame. So what. As long as it makes a dude who is 5’11” look normal for once and not like there riding a kids bike, im all for it. Its the biggest mistake in my opinion that harley made. But if also know its not a mistake. Its just business. They want dudes who are 5’11” to get the big boy more expansive models that fit those guys perfectly. But damn, rhe sportsters look way better then rhe big boy bikes. Thats why i say, damn you people who are 5’9” and shorter, you lucky bastards. ✌️

Nonsense !! you are far too concerned about what others think . i'm 6 foot (and don't wish to be 5"10 ?1) and love riding my sporty ! i've made a few adjustments that fit my style of riding (which is super easy to do on this bike ) and i go on my merry way not giving two fucks what joe blog may think.

I have noticed that all but a few gives the public a (blackened) motorcycle. If you want it bright, it will cost lots extra ($). It's total bullshit. H.D. is the worst. I've always liked H.D. & have owned one & the engine, trans, & most parts were not black. Nobody sees a blacked out bike. I've ridden them & it was a nightmare dodging cars & trucks. Thankfully, someone upstairs was watching over me. Never again will I buy a blacked out bike or ride one.

His little 68 customized 900 was a good looking bike. Many hotties perched behind him on that thing. RIP Jim Bronson

Trust me it's hard but someone may start looking in 23 that wasn't looking before and they want the current model year review even though nothing changed. Eventually I'd like to not do them but they help me grow the channel for now.
