Sure enjoy seeing a Cabover out on the open road, a sight you just don't see much anymore. So when a few show up at a show I think they defiantly deserve their own video! Hope you enjoy these as much as I did ...... 🙂👍✌

I love old COE’s. I sure do miss seeing them on the road. I remember going on runs with my dad whe he was a driver. He drove an International and a Freightliner COE. This would definitely give a guy some ideas for a model build. Thanks for sharing Tim!

Loved COE Trucks, Started Wrenching on them in 77 and Loved all those Years, To me the Interior in these Trucks were the most Awesome too! The only bad thing was when the Cab was up and driver left Door open after getting something out, while I was replacing King Pins , Stand up and Lights Out!!!!! Otherwise Best years Ever working on all those Beautiful Cab Overs! Great Video!

Started my driving career out in a freightliner coe back in the early 90s when coes were still out on the roads glad I got the experience of driving them it's ashame that for the most part they're a thing of the past I definitely do a double take when I occasionally see one going down the roads today a lot of cool rides great video thanks for bringing it to those of us that still appreciate them.. like the old western theme music in the background 👍🏾

Man those were some beautiful old trucks. As much as I love the seeing the show trucks seeing those working trucks there brings it all full circle. Loved that old GMC cracker box and that old International Emeryville. I’ve driven both. Bet the vast majority of those trucks didn’t have power steering either. Excellent work Tim. Thank you and keep up the great work!!!

I'm neither a trucker nor an American. I'm also too young to have ridden a big rig between the '60s and 1989. But finally that's a good thing, because if all of this were possible - I couldn't have decided which of these extremely hot machines would have been my No. 1. It seems I love them all and therefore I could never pick a personal favorite at a truck show like this. 😍

So glad you enjoyed ..... 👍🙂 Have always heard they are in the UK but always wondered why. When the length law changed in America Cabovers soon became a thing of the past. Always thought the UK would do the same.
@Twisted_RC2 жыл бұрын
@@THROTTLEPOWER I thinks its purely down to size. We have an overall length limit of 18 Metres (59 Ft) Because European roads are tiny compared to American 1s

Not one set of gators or flip flops. The amount of work rebuilding equipment that size is mind boggling. I'm running an old 9670 and I can barely keep her running in fresh oil and news shoes on her feet. Maybe one day I'll get caught up enough to get the interior redone and the sheet aluminum body painted. I do all my own work - maybe that's why it takes so long. I've rebuilt and still own several military 5 ton trucks and currently bought an amtrack as a project = 6v53...looking forward to hearing that one screaming to life soon but then the hunt for track pads begins. My 9670 is hard to shut down cause I'm running her so much lately

Morning Sir, Like yourself I enjoy building Gasser’s. Would you happen to know if someone in the model community is making part’s, like Header’s, Ladder Bar’s. And other part’s for gasser’s, TYIA
@THROTTLEPOWER2 жыл бұрын
That's a great question John. As of now I do not know of anyone that does. Finding good/great headers is tough. Something I've kind of come to the conclusion of, is..... I'm looking for really nice headers, ladder bars, a nice front end and sometimes a really nice set of tires and wheels so I'm thinking it might be cheaper (vs. buying all that aftermarket) and easier to get a kit with all that. The Moebius Gasser for example, that kit has all that and a cool engine. So I'm going to get another and just fit a different GM body onto it. Or swap out engines and go with a Ford or Mopar. Sorry for such a long response John but just wanted to share what I was thinking since we are both looking for the same stuff!!
@jcsgaragejohnc.50272 жыл бұрын
@@THROTTLEPOWER TY- That is a good idea, to just get a kit with the part’s that I could use on a Gasser. TY for your help
@THROTTLEPOWER2 жыл бұрын
@@jcsgaragejohnc.5027 Cool....... Yea, I hate to spend 30 bucks but it is cheaper then buying all that (if you can find it) in aftermarket. What Gasser are you wanting to build John?

I could never imagine anyone preferring a conventional truck. Not counting pickups and the like, I drove one conventional and absolutely hated it. The visibility. the easy maneuvering, and so on just makes the CO trucks the only sensible choice as far as I could ever see. I did see where someone complained about being hard to get in and no room in the cab. It sounds like the problem would be better solved through diet and exercise than a truck with an anteater snout. BUT... What's with so many CO trucks now having the frames extended? They would make excellent flat bed or grain trucks, but they extend them like that and put a fifth wheel on the...THEY LOOK ABSURD. I'd be ashamed to drive one of those silly looking things.
